Murray Bridge Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Fancify
The daughter of Niagara has proven herself at a higher level in the past, including a Group 3 victory over 1400m in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes at Flemington last spring. That success came second-up, following a win in this very race, and confirmed her class.
While she hasn’t won since that Melbourne campaign, Fancify remained competitive in quality company earlier this year, placing in two of three runs, including a strong effort back over 1400m at Flemington in March. She was spelled following a fifth in the Group 3 Shaftesbury Avenue Handicap, where she wasn’t far away against a deeper field.
Resuming last month in the Listed W.H. Wylie Handicap, the Michael Hickmott-trained mare dropped back to 1100m and was far from disgraced when beaten under a length from a wide draw. That run should have brought her on nicely for this.
Unbeaten in two Murray Bridge appearances, she’s well placed to defend her title and notch a third win at the venue.
Gifford Hill Estate Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Murray Bridge Value Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Riche D’Amour
Riche D’Amour has built a handy record at Murray Bridge, including two wins from his last four attempts, both recorded earlier this year. One of those came over this distance in July when he raced on the speed and proved too strong late.
He then handled soft conditions just as well when following up over 1200m in Benchmark 64 company, underlining his adaptability and toughness. His two most recent runs came in stronger metropolitan grade, where he wasn’t disgraced despite finishing midfield.
The latest of those efforts came in a Benchmark 70 at Sandown, where he was slow away and made late ground from the back. That run came in stronger company than this, and he’s since been freshened up with this target in mind.
Back to his preferred circuit and trip, and reunited with Craig Newitt, he looks a genuine each-way hope to bounce back to form.
Carlton Draught Murray Bridge Gold Cup Tips (Race 8)
Murray Bridge Feature Bet - Race 8 No. 5 Watadeel
Watadeel has held his form well this preparation, recording two wins and multiple placings from six runs. He struck early in the campaign with a wet-track win over 1400m at Morphettville before running a series of honest races in strong company.
His effort when third in the Listed Balaklava Cup last month was particularly sound, beaten just over a length in a race that rated well for the grade. That performance followed consistent form through similar trips, showing his versatility and reliability.
Returning to firmer footing at Morphettville last time, he bounced back with a decisive win over 1550m in open company, sprinting clear to score by nearly two lengths. It was a confidence-boosting performance and suggested he’s peaking at the right time.
Back up to 1600m and well drawn, he looks well placed to add another feature victory to his record.

Murray Bridge Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 18 Zunna
Lightly raced and full of promise, Zunna has won two of her four starts and looks an improving type. She impressed with a dominant debut victory at Pakenham in April before returning with a solid third at the same track and trip later that month.
Spelled after that autumn campaign, she returned at Morphettville where she missed the start and never recovered in a strong Benchmark 64. That effort is best forgiven given the race has since produced several subsequent winners.
Phillip Stokes’ filly atoned next time out with an emphatic win in a Class 2 at Morphettville, sprinting away to score by more than a length in good style.
Down in the weights and drawn to get every chance, she looks well placed to finish the day with another victory.
