Doomben Tips November 29

Road To Magic Millions Book Now Class 3 Plate Tips (Race 3)

Doomben Best Bet - Race 3 No. 14 Pocketmoney

Chris & Corey Munce have their team in strong form and Pocketmoney arrives as the winner of two of her past three starts.

She claimed the first of those victories by just over half-a-length when settling off the speed before finishing over the top late.

She backed that up with a solid success in a 1200m Class 1 Plate at Eagle Farm when racing on a sound surface without issue.

The mare confirmed her versatility when placing second over this track and trip on a Soft 7 four weeks later, showing she is equally effective with more give underfoot.

Martin Harley’s 26% strike-rate for the stable is a key asset and he looks well placed to extend that record here.

Eureka Stud Tattersall’s Classic (Listed) Tips (Race 7)

Doomben Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 5 Midnight In Tokyo

Midnight In Tokyo is a proven wet-tracker with all five of her career wins coming on rain-affected ground.

The Soft 7 surface suits perfectly following her encouraging return when finishing runner-up at this venue two weeks ago.

She was beaten just under one-and-a-half-lengths in the Keith Noud over this course and distance and that run suggested she has come back well.

Her last preparation ended with two unplaced efforts on Good going, so the return to softer footing is a significant positive.

Annabel & Rob Archibald are expected to have her fitter second-up and back against her own sex she appeals as the one to beat.

Tattersall’s Recognition Stakes (Listed) Tips (Race 8)

Doomben Value Bet - Race 8 No. 11 Hatchet

Hatchet delivered his seventh career win last month when scoring impressively over this course and distance.

The gelding put more than two lengths on his rivals that day when racing on a sound surface and controlling the race comfortably.

He has been unable to win in two runs since, though he produced strong efforts including a runner-up finish at this track next start.

He tackled Listed company from a wide barrier last time and was beaten under four-and-a-half-lengths when fifth from gate twelve.

Ron Stewart stays aboard and with the forecast Soft 7 conditions no issue, the seven-year-old shapes as good value to strike again.

Des Lambert Memorial Benchmark 85 Handicap Tips (Race 10)

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 10 No. 19 Bossed Up

Bossed Up returned in September with a sixth placing over 1110m at this venue and has built steadily since.

The gelding has produced a win and two second placings from his three runs that followed, with the victory coming at Eagle Farm two starts back.

He scored by just under half-a-length in a 1000m Benchmark 0-70 on a Good 4 and that form was franked by subsequent winners Moulin Miss and Bremel.

He then ran second over the same course and distance in a Benchmark 78 and now chases a second win over 1110m at Doomben.

Tony Gollan’s runner has past success on Soft going and draws favourably near the rail to mount a strong bid for his fifth career win.
