Reece Walsh

Reece Walsh finished last season playing the best football of his career, and his Supercoach ceiling is now firmly established.

His ability to rack up points through support play, kick returns, line breaks and try assists makes him one of the few fullbacks capable of match-winning Supercoach scores. When Brisbane are on top, Walsh is almost always at the centre of it.

The question is not talent. It is timing. Starting Walsh means backing Brisbane to fire immediately. Waiting means hoping for an early price dip against tougher opponents.

Brendan Piakura

At his current price point, Piakura does not need to become a Supercoach star. He simply needs consistent minutes.

When given 60-plus minutes, his base work and tackle efficiency allow him to grind out respectable scores without relying on tries. In a strong Brisbane side, that is often enough to generate steady cash growth.

He is not a must-start, but he is one of the safer mid-range forwards available if you want exposure to Brisbane without paying full premium prices.

Xavier Willison

Willison is a name to keep close rather than lock in early.

With rotation changes and injuries always a factor in Brisbane’s middle rotation, Willison looms as a potential beneficiary if minutes open up. His dual-position flexibility only adds to his appeal later in the season.

Reynolds remains a brilliant footballer, but from a Supercoach perspective his appeal is fading.

He is best approached as a mid-season option rather than a Round 1 cornerstone.

Brisbane’s hooker rotation is deep and unpredictable. That is excellent for the club and terrible for Supercoach.
