In AFL 2025 Round 21, St Kilda Saints, riding high from a stellar comeback win, face the North Melbourne Kangaroos at Marvel Stadium. With St Kilda's key players in top form and the Kangaroos displaying a porous defense, the Saints appear poised to seize this opportunity. Currently holding 14th place with six wins, they've shown inconsistencies at Marvel but aim to capitalize against the Kangaroos' challenges. The prediction leans towards a high-scoring game, with St Kilda likely to secure victory within a 1-39 point range.

St Kilda will build on last week’s thrilling comeback win as they face a struggling North Melbourne side at Marvel Stadium.

The Saints pulled off one of the greatest comebacks ever with a nine goal to nil final term to defeat Melbourne by six-points. Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera sealed the deal with two goals in the last minute, including the winner after the siren.

Ross Lyon’s side sit in 14th spot on the ladder with six wins, while North Melbourne are 17th with four victories and a draw. They come off a 101 point loss to Geelong.

Both sides have had a rough patch of late but with key contributors like Wanganeen-Milera and Jack Sinclair continue to shine, and with North conceding 125 points per game across their last five outings, the Saints’ can feast on opportunities.

While the Saints have been inconsistent at Marvel this season, North’s leaky defence and lack of scoring power make them hard to back them here. St Kilda’s polish around the ball will be the difference. Take the Saints in the 1-39 point range, while the total points over looks to be in play.

  • St Kilda have won the past five matches between the two sides. Four of those have been by under the 39.5 point margin
  • 10 of the Saints past 11 matches have been decided by 39.5 points or less
  • In the past five rounds, the two sides have featured in games that have gone over the total points on four occasions each
  • The Kangaroos have conceded a whopping 125 points per game in their past five matches

Head to Head

St Kilda have won the past five matches between the two sides. Four of those have been by under the 39.5 point margin, including the Round 8 encounter (38 points) last season, which was the last time they met.

Jack Sinclair has averaged 29 disposals from his past four matches against North Melbourne, while Jack Steele has averaged 25 from his past three. Harry Sheezel has averaged 27 from his past three for North Melbourne.

St Kilda were winners last weekend but have lost nine of their past 11 matches. 10 of those matches were decided by 39.5 points or less. St Kilda have won two of their past nine at Marvel Stadium and are 4-7 at the venue this season.

Over the past five rounds, they have been able to match sides in terms of winning the footy, ranking in the top half for disposals and clearances but a lack of pressure has led to them ranking 14th for both inside 50s and fewest inside 50s conceded.

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera was the match-winner last weekend with 34 disposals and four goals. He has been the standout player this season and has had 30+ disposals in five of his past seven matches.  Jack Sinclair has hit the 30+ in his past two matches.
