The Round 6 AFL match between Adelaide Crows and St Kilda Saints is set to be a close encounter with both teams having a similar 2-3 record. Adelaide emerged victoriously against Carlton, while St Kilda now continues in Adelaide after defeating Port. The game is poised to be a tactical battle with St Kilda leveraging their strong defense. Key players to watch include Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera and Josh Worrell, both expected to make significant disposals. The recommendation is to take St Kilda with a 15.5-point start, bet on Total Points Under, and watch Wanganeen-Milera and Worrell for disposals over 25.

Adelaide Crows vs St Kilda Saints AFL Round 6 Tips

Adelaide Crows vs St Kilda Saints Expert Prediction

St Kilda can push the Adelaide Crows in what shapes as a danger game for the home side.

The Round 6 fixture shapes as an early-season eight-pointer with Adelaide and St Kilda both sitting 2-3 after tough openings to the season.

The Crows finally got reward for some strong patches of football in the 28-point win over Carlton, while the Saints banked a hard-fought Gather Round win over Port and now stay in Adelaide for another six-day turnaround.

That continuity at the venue, combined with Ross Lyon’s clear focus on contest, pressure and defensive structure, gives St Kilda every chance to stay within the 15.5-point start.

The Total Points Under stands out as another strong betting angle with both sides tending to feature in territory-based grinds rather than shootouts so far this season.

Adelaide will look to control through half-back and field position with Josh Worrell’s becoming central to how they reset and launch. With Mitch Hinge sidelined again, that responsibility only grows, and after Wayne Milera’s 25-disposal, eight-intercept game against Carlton, expect Adelaide to lean heavily on that rebound system.

For St Kilda, the game plan revolves around making this ugly around the contest and trusting Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera to be the class player in transition. His ability to win it at stoppage, spread into open grass and then hit the scoreboard makes him the player most likely to keep the Saints in touch. The 25+ disposals market again shapes as highly achievable.

Adelaide may still edge it at home because their best footy is sharp and they will only need to capitalise on momentum bursts to take this out but St Kilda’s defensive accountability, recent form at Adelaide Oval and ability to drag games into a contested grind all point to a close result.

Take the Saints with the 15.5-point start, Total Points Under, Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera 25+ disposals and Josh Worrell 25+ with the likely tactical shape of this match pointing to those markets.

  • Four of St Kilda’s five matches in 2026 have been decided by less than 15 points.
  • Adelaide are averaging 86 points per game this season, the Saints are averaging 82.
  • Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera has had 25+ disposals in his past three matches.
  • Josh Worrell is averaging over 25 disposals this season.

Head to Head Stats

Adelaide have been big winners in the past three contests, winning by 63, 32 and 52. All three were at Adelaide Oval and the Crows have an 8-2 record over the Saints at the venue. They piled on 21.9 to 10.12 in the Round 1 meeting last season, with Darcy Fogarty kicking four goals and Riley Thilthorpe three, while Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera had 27 disposals.

The Crows skipper, Jordan Dawson, has had 25+ disposals in his past three matches against St Kilda, while the former Sun and current Saint, Sam Flanders, has had 25+ in his past four against Adelaide.

Adelaide Crows Form Analysis

Adelaide lost three in a row, with those losses coming by eight points or fewer, before snapping that streak with their 28-point win over Carlton. The match against the Blues was their first this season against a non-finalist from 2025, in what has been a tough first month. They now sit in 11th spot on the ladder with a 2-3 win-loss record.

Josh Rachele starred against the Blues with 26 disposals and four goals, while Sam Berry (29 disposals), Jordan Dawson (26 and one goal) and Ben Keays (three goals) were other major contributors. They opened with a 14-point win over Collingwood and have since gone down to the Western Bulldogs by six, Geelong by eight and Fremantle by two. They were all top-eight sides in 2025.

The Crows were a bit slow out of the blocks, conceding seven goals in the first term before kicking nine of the next 11. Against Fremantle the week prior, they were down by 34 points before mounting a comeback and hitting the lead in the last term, only to go down by two points.

The Crows are a low-disposal side, ranking 14th in the competition. Jordan Dawson shoulders a lot of the load in midfield, while Josh Worrell leads the Crows for disposals with 25 per game across half-back.

The lack of other A-grade midfielders has led to lower supply inside 50, with the Crows ranking 13th for inside 50s, leading to fewer opportunities for the likes of Riley Thilthorpe, who has kicked just eight goals from five matches this season.

St Kilda Saints Form Analysis

St Kilda also come in with a 2-3 win-loss record and have won two of their past three, while they matched the premiers, Brisbane, two matches ago before being blown out late in the 33-point loss.

They went down in the inside 50 count to Port Adelaide last weekend but defended well in the 14-point win, while Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera was a key difference between the two sides, collecting 28 disposals and two goals. He has had 25+ in his past three matches. Jack Sinclair averages just under 30 and has hit that mark in three of five, while he had 29 in the other.

The win by St Kilda was their second in a row at Adelaide Oval after defeating the Power a year ago at their previous visit, but they had lost their previous five at the venue. They have won just two of their past eight against interstate opposition outside of Victoria.
