Premier League Top Scorer Betting Odds - Mohamed Salah favourite to edge Erling Haaland for top goal scorer

Erling Haaland was the favourite at the start of the season, but the big striker's form has suffered with Man City dropping out of the title race.

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has come from $11 at the start of the campaign to the heavy $1.03 favourite as his Liverpool club top the table.

Haaland has won the last two golden boots in the Premier League after scoring 36 goals in his debut season in 2022/23 before then scoring 27 goals last season.

However, he has a lot of work to do in order to catch Salah, who is the leading favourite as we hurtle towards the end of the season.

Salah has scored 27 goals in the league, with Haaland trailing by seven on 20. It's certainly not out of the question that City could catch fire towards the back-end of the season - and if that happens, Haaland will have his chances to chase Salah down.

However, Haaland has not been at his best as we edge towards the end of the season. In conjunction with Salah's form, there seems to only be one option in the betting now. 

Liverpool are the heavy favourites to win the league and Salah's goal contributions are a huge part of their success this term.

Meanwhile, Alexander Isak has been on fire for Newcastle in front of goal this season and is an outside shot of $23 to move past Salah and Haaland.

New Zealand striker Chris Wood has been the shock story so far this season - the Kiwi has found some career-best form for Nottingham Forest this season and is only two goals behind Haaland with 18 for the season and one behind Isak, who has scored 19.

Chelsea winger Cole Palmer and Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo have dropped out of the betting after struggling for goals of late.
