Chelsea will be aiming to break back into the top four and snap a five-game winless streak when they welcome Wolves to Stamford Bridge on Monday night in the Premier League.

Chelsea are backed to emerge triumphant in front of their home fans, returning to the winners circle and back inside the Champions League places. Wolves have lost nine of their 10 games against teams that started this round in the top eight, but they can get on the scoresheet in defeat, with Chelsea only keeping one clean sheet in their 10 home EPL outings so far this term. With Cole Palmer in doubt, Nicolas Jackson is favoured in the first goalscorer market, with the striker finding the back of the net nine times in the league this season.

Wolves had won the three previous meetings between the teams before this season, but Chelsea snapped that run emphatically, registering a crushing 6-2 victory back in Round 2.

It's been a tough recent period for Chelsea, who have gone from somewhat challenging Liverpool for the title to languishing outside of the top four coming into this Monday night fixture.

Securing all three points at home will propel Chelsea back into the Champions League places and they will be confident of doing just that, having demolished Wolves 6-2 in the reverse fixture, with Nicolas Jackson scoring first and Noni Madueke bagging himself a hat-trick.

Chelsea have struggled lately though, losing games against Ipswich and Fulham, while a Reece James strike in the 95th minute earned them a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in their most-recent outing.

Wolves Form

After winning his opening two games in charge, Vitor Pereira has come crashing back down to earth, with Wolves coming into this encounter on the back of consecutive 3-0 defeats.

Following a 2-2 draw with struggling Tottenham, Wolves were outclassed by two teams gunning for the top four in Nottingham Forest and Newcastle.

As a result, Wolves have dropped back down to 17th on the ladder, only outside of the relegation zone above Ipswich on goal difference.

Good opportunity for Chelsea to get back to winning ways and reclaim a spot inside the top four.

Wolves have been outclassed by the elite sides all season, but Chelsea's shaky defence means they can get on the scoresheet in defeat.

Nicolas Jackson scored first in the reverse fixture, and with Cole Palmer in doubt, he's looming as the main man again for the Blues in the final third.
