The 2023/24 Bundesliga defied expectations as Bayern Munich's hold on the trophy was broken by a Bayer Leverkusen side that were superb.
For the 2024/25 season, reigning champions Leverkusen are priced at $3.50 to secure the trophy once again, but are they the favourites?

Despite coming into the season as the hot favourites to secure yet another Bundesliga crown, Bayern Munich were left red-faced in 2023/24 as they slipped down to third on the ladder, 18 points short of Bayer Leverkusen at the summit.
Despite this embarrassing end to their campaign, Bayern arrive with new coach Vincent Kompany as the $1.50 favourites to retake the trophy from Leverkusen.
The reigning champions are available at $3.50 despite finishing 17 clear of Vfb Stuttgart at the summit. Clearly, the bookies make it more likely that Bayern will avenge their chastening defeat rather than Leverkusen doing it all over again.
Further out in the betting you can back Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. However, the issue with the pair is that despite Bayern's woes, neither could take advantage. Indeed, Leipzig finished in fourth, seven short of Bayern, while Dortmund were a place further back and nine points behind Bayern.
Despite Bayern sitting at the top of the betting, this season could prove to be the most interesting yet. Bayern arrive with Kompany as their new coach, but this will be his first job with a major side. The exploits of Harry Kane, who scored 36 goals last year, will be vital if the former champions are to regain their title.
Perhaps arriving as the best of the rest will prove to be ideal for Leverkusen, who will have every intention of extending Bayern's woes for another season. Of course, doing it all over again is never easy, but going a whole league season without losing last time out stands them on strong footing to do it all over again.
