Leading Northern Territory trainer Gary Clarke has had a day out on Friday, preparing all five winners on the February 12 meeting from the Fannie Bay Racecourse in Darwin
Combining with jockey Jarrod Todd for four of the victories, Clarke got the program started with $10 chance Kalmar, who despite drifting to the outside late when tiring, managed to kick and hold off the challenge of Savaspur in the opener.
That 1.14 length margin proved to be the smallest on the entire card with a near seven and a half-length victory in Race 2 via Obligatory, where he also managed to prepare the Quinella prior to Adam Nicholls donning the in-form red, white and blue silks and scoring aboard Patria in Race 3.
Odds-on favourite's Papalet and Fort Knox gave punters (and Clarke) no nervous moments, with comfortable victories at the back-end of the meeting to complete a remarkable feat.
Race 1 - Kalmar ($10)
Race 2 - Obligatory ($1.80)
Race 3 - Patria ($2.80)
Race 4 - Papalet ($1.50)
Race 5 - Fort Knox ($1.30)
