Group 1 Flight Stakes winner Global Goal has drawn barrier three for John Sargent and Dylan Gibbons, with the filly looking to complete the Flight Stakes-Spring Champion Stakes double after connections elected to bypass the Thousand Guineas at Caulfield.

The daughter of Tarzino defeated Wonka by a short neck in the Gloaming Stakes, with Scarole a further short half-head away in third, setting up another clash between the three leading finishers.

Ciaron Maher's Scarole has landed barrier four for Nash Rawiller, having finished third in the Gloaming Stakes and looking to turn the tables on Proxima Dea and Wonka over the additional 200m.
John O'Shea and Tom Charlton's lightly raced Mindgames has secured the inside draw in barrier one for Tim Clark, having won two of his three career starts and finished runner-up at his latest appearance.
Cormier will begin from barrier eight for Paul Messara and Leah Gavranich, with Aaron Bullock booked to ride, while David Payne's second runner Persian Wonder has drawn barrier five for Ashley Morgan.
With Global Goal chasing another Group 1 victory, Proxima Dea defending her unbeaten record and several Gloaming Stakes rivals renewing their battle, the final barrier draw has added another dimension to Saturday's three-year-old feature at Randwick.

Elevated to Group 1 level in 1979, the 2000m contest at Royal Randwick provides a significant examination of young horses stepping up in distance against their own age group.
The race has also established strong links with Melbourne's spring classics, particularly the Victoria Derby and VRC Oaks at Flemington, with several contenders progressing from the Spring Champion Stakes to those major staying assignments.
Its history features numerous talented performers who have gone on to achieve success at the highest level, further strengthening the race's reputation as an important guide to Australia's next generation of stayers.
Recent editions have been won by Tom Kitten in 2023, El Castello in 2024 and Attica in 2025, with the trio adding their names to the race's distinguished honour roll.
