The 2025 NRL season moves into Round 8 this week with eight games taking place across ANZAC Weekend from April 24-27. Tony Moley Adams previews all eight matches and provides his best bet.
Broncos vs Bulldogs
Sooner or later the Bulldogs have to lose a game - but are the enigmatic Broncos capable of bringing their unbeaten run to an end? With Reece Walsh out and Selwyn Cobbo shifted to fullback, they may have found the formula to bring Canterbury’s superb streak to an end.
Moley’s Tip: Broncos +4.5 ($1.91 bet365)
Roosters vs Dragons
A real tough game with both teams having roller coaster rides so far in 2025. With Angus Crichton, Billy Smith and Egan Butcher back on deck, I like the Roosters in a close one.
Moley’s Tip: Roosters 1-12 ($3.25 Elitebet)
Warriors vs Knights
The Knights travel across the Tasman in tatters following a run of outs, with scoring points proving a ream problem. I think the Warriors, with newly re-signed fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad back from injury, will do a job on them.
Moley’s Tip: Warriors by 13+ ($2.20 Dabble)
Storm vs Rabbitohs
The Storm have three big outs in Harry Grant, Jack Howarth and Tui Kamikamica, but at home, still appear to have too much class for the Bunnies. Remarkably, Wayne Bennett has dropped Souths’ best player week in, week out - fullback Jye Gray - to the bench in a move that could back-fire.
Moley’s Tip: Storm -13.5 ($1.91 BoomBet)
Cowboys vs Titans
If you are looking for an upset this round, this one could be a chance. The Titans have been boosted by the return of tryscoring ace Alofiana Khan-Pereira and power forward David Fifita. At home, the Cowboys SHOULD win but their form has been far from consistent this season.
Moley’s Tip: Over 49.5 Points ($1.91 Elitebet)
Panthers vs Manly
The Panthers have an ideal chance to make it back-to-back wins against a Manly team that has lost three from four since Daly Cherry-Evans’ declaration that he won’t be a Sea Eagle in 2026. Manly have lost their way and the Panthers could go on a tryscoring picnic.
Moley’s Tip: Panthers by 13+ ($2.45 bet365)
Raiders vs Dolphins
This could be the game of the round between two in-form teams that both play fast open football and are riding high on confidence. Not much in it but I’m going with the home ground advantage for a narrow Canberra win.
Moley’s Tip: Raiders -4.5 ($1.91 Betr)
Wests vs Sharks
The Tigers are digging themselves into a deep hole with the Lachlan Galvin drama continuing to bubble along and a loss to the Eels making it a week to forget. Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt is their best hope of springing an upset but the Sharks are too well disciplined to lose this one.
Moley’s Tip: Sharks -6.5 ($1.91 Ladbrokes)
