The 2024 NRL season moves into Round 4 this week with eight games taking place from March 27-31. Tony Moley Adams previews all eight matches and provides his best bet.

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Penrith Panthers

The Panthers appear easy winners here but let’s dig deeper - they have lost both games since returning from Vegas and will field a young, untested halves combination in Jack Cole and Trent Toelau.

Penrith should still win, but I like the Rabbitohs, who have won two from three, with the start.

Sydney Roosters vs Gold Coast Titans

The Roosters were awful in Auckland last weekend, while the Titans posted an impressive win over the Knights - yet the home side are firm favourites. I see it being a long season for the Roosters, who are 1 from 3, while the Titans have the talent to make a play for the finals.

Dolphins vs Brisbane Broncos

The Dolphins have yet to win a game in 2025 and it’s hard to see them opening their account here against a Broncos side boosted by the return of strike centre Kotoni Staggs. The Broncos were far from perfect in beating the Cowboys last week but with Payne Haas in awesome from up front, should be too strong.

St George Illawarra Dragons vs Melbourne Storm

The Dragons have started the season poorly and a bye last weekend gave them their first points of the campaign. Curiously Shane Flanagan has stuck with halfback Lachlan Ilias after tearing strips off him last week. The Storm beat the Panthers 30-24 but won’t be happy with the way they let the Panthers in for some cheap tries and Craig Bellamy will want a better defensive effort this time around.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Canberra Raiders

The Cowboys put up their best showing of the season to date against the Broncos last week, but still lost, while Canberra copped a caning at Manly for their first defeat. But coach Ricky Stuart was fuming with some decisions that went against his side and they face the prospect of another hostile crowd and more 50/50 decisions going the other way in Townsville.

Cronulla Sharks vs Canterbury Bulldogs

Two form teams meet in what shapes as the game of the round at Sharks Park. Cronulla have looked the goods in all three rounds - even in losing to Penrith in Vegas. The Dogs seem to get better and better and an upset is a real chance.

Manly Sea Eagles vs Parramatta Eels

Manly are scoring points for fun this season and with Tommy Turbo back, things could get ugly for the Eels at Brookvale. Parra are sitting at the bottom of the table at 0-3 and it would take a brave punter to see them even getting close in this one.

Wests Tigers vs New Zealand Warriors

The Tigers looked great in winning at the Dolphins last week but meet a Warriors team that has strung together back-to-back wins since their Vegas disaster against Canberra.Tough game but the Campbelltown factor could prove the difference.
