The Sandown Hillside race on June 14th showcases a lineup of competitive horses. Notable bets include 'Roadcone' in Race 6, projected to excel following recent gear changes and strong performances. 'Cafe Millenium' in Race 9 stands as a potential winner with an advantageous second-up removal to seven furlongs. Despite previous challenges, 'Harry's Yacht' in Race 3 and 'Lady Pappygate' in Race 5 show signs of strong potential, backed by recent improvements. These selections highlight a mix of potential sure bets and value opportunities.

Sandown Tips June 14

Quayclean Handicap Tips (Race 3)

Sandown Value Bet - Race 3 No. 3 Harry's Yacht

He gained some confidence with a BM64 victory in January before a spell and Harry's Yacht went back-to-back in comfortable style via his Moonee Valley return.

As a result of that April 26 win, he was in the market second-up at Flemington and I wouldn't be sacking him off that seventh-of-nine finish.

The rider reported post-race that Harry's Yacht didn't handle the straight course, while he also pulled up lame, so there were clear excuses and he's completed a recent jump-out.

Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Tips (Race 5)

Sandown Roughie - Race 5 No. 12 Lady Pappygate

There isn't much between Lady Pappygate and Sound It Out going off their Kyneton clash two starts back, where the latter had the last say off a brutal tempo.

Lady Pappygate is almost double the quote of that rival in this event and the Andrew Forsman-trained mare did go one better when saluting at Ballarat second-up.

This lightly raced mare still has improvement to come, which was evident last time out when laying in at key stages of the home straight and she carries 3kg less here.

Ray Porter's 90th Celebration Classic Tips (Race 6)

Sandown Best Bet - Race 6 No. 5 Roadcone

The nose roll came off and winkers were applied following a second-up defeat, and Roadcone has looked a different horse in two runs since those gear changes.

After recording a 4.5-length romp third-up via a Pakenham BM70, he handled the rise in grade with ease when completing a double over this track/trip.

That form through Persian Spirit and Otago reads okay, and while he's up in the weights off that May 24 performance, Roadcone is still well in with 56.5kg for a BM78.

Sportsbet More Places Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Sandown Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 5 Earlswood

He lacked the turn-of-foot to offer a serious challenge over 1400m, however, it was still a solid return from Earlswood and he's suited up in distance on Saturday.

The seven-year-old joined the Gavin Bedggood yard ahead of his last campaign and he saluted second-up for the new stable off what was just an even fresh effort.

There were competitive performances in stakes company over the back-end of spring and this event, there's an opportunity to settle much closer (can lead).

Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap Tips (Race 9)

Sandown Next Best Bet - Race 9 No. 10 Cafe Millenium

1200m was short as he wanted, although Cafe Millenium arguably would've won first-up had he drawn kinder and getting to seven furlongs second-up looks ideal.

The four-year-old was on stable debut for the Hayes yard in that recent Caulfield resumption and he had worked well in two May jump-out's leading into that.

Cafe Millenium hasn't won in a long time and there's always going to be a take on trust element to him, but he's got class and the bigger Sandown circuit should suit.
