Thomas Farms Racing Rewards SA Three-Year-Old Plate Tips (Race 4)
Murray Bridge Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 5 Out Of Square
The daughter of Hellbent showed ability in her first two starts, placing third on each occasion.
Out Of Square has demonstrated improvement this prep, with wins in four of her five starts this time around and the sole defeat came when ninth-of te in an 1100m Listed race in April.
The filly has won at a lower level in both subsequent starts, including over this course and distance in Benchmark 68 handicap company last month.
Richard & Chantelle Jolly’s representative came home over two lengths clear of her rivals that day and further progression is expected.
Jockey Jake Toeroek is again set to ride here, with the rider boasting a 100% strike-rate (3/3) when partnering the filly.
Barrier seven shouldn’t pose any issues for Out Of Square, who is selected to continue her good run of form.
Sportsbet Jockey Watch Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Murray Bridge Value Bet - Race 6 No. 13 Turned Loose
The New Zealand-bred mare has had wide barriers for three of her four starts this prep, including when eleventh over 1900m at Oakbank second-up.
The four-year-old went on to deliver a victory by over a length when contesting a 1600m Class 1 handicap at this circuit next time.
That success marked her second win at this track and she went on to deliver a respectable sixth when stepped up to 1800m last time.
The daughter of Turn Me Loose was beaten just over two-and-a-half-lengths in that 1800m handicap and she placed second in her only previous start on a wet track.
The drop back to 1600m shouldn’t be an issue here, while she also drops slightly in class.
Emily Finnegan, on board for all four starts this prep, is again set to ride and her mount looks value to salute for the Sue & Jason Jaensch team.
Thomas Farms Handicap Tips (Race 8)
Murray Bridge Roughie - Race 8 No. 9 Vail Mountain
The six-year-old recorded the fourth win of his career when saluting by a narrow margin over 1200m in early January.
Vale Mountain contested a 1200m Benchmark 70 handicap held on good going that day and he has been running well in the main without winning since.
His sole effort on a wet surface this prep saw him place third, beaten four-and-a-half-lengths in a Benchmark 70 handicap over 1200m at Warrnambool in April.
The son of Flying Artie raced from mid-division on that occasion and he went on to race on the speed when fourth in a 1300m metro event at Sandown subsequently.
He was slowly away when contesting a Benchmark 70 handicap on the Hillside track last time and this looks an easier contest.
Apprentice Taylor Johnstone takes a valuable two-kilogram’s off his back and the pair may prove up to springing a surprise from a wide barrier.
Carlton Draught Handicap Tips (Race 10)
Murray Bridge Best Bet - Race 10 No. 7 High On Sugar
The four-year-old recorded some good efforts last prep, including when twice placing over 1400m at this venue.
The gelding resumed with a respectable four-length ninth in a sixteen runner Benchmark 0-62 handicap over 1200m here in April.
High On Sugar jumped from a wide barrier on that occasion and went on to deliver a victory in a barrier trial at this venue last month.
The Wayne Francis & Glen Kent-trained gelding appeared to derive benefit from the trial in-between runs, given he showed improvement at Morphettville second-up.
He met trouble in running on that occasion and would have finished closer with more favours.
The booking of Rochelle Milnes is a positive, with the apprentice boasting a near 23% strike-rate (5/22) for this stable.
