Hurricane Harley is short in early markets, but he does look the obvious on exposed form after justifying support with a strong track-and-trip win second-up at start three.

His return run also had merit, working throughout before being claimed late by Like Clockwork, who franked the form with an impressive Ascot victory yesterday.

That November 13 contest has continued to stack up, with Why She Stayed — the third placegetter — finishing runner-up behind the handy Conchetta's Dream before breaking through on December 7.

He finds an average Class 1 here and returns to a familiar track-and-trip scenario that clearly suits.

With tactical speed and progressive ratings, Hurricane Harley is well placed to record back-to-back wins.

Pinjarra Value Bet - Race 6 No. 8 No Peer

No Peer was safely held when resuming in a Saturday 60+ at Ascot, but that 1400m effort was better than it appears on paper.

She is much better placed back to provincial level here, and her mile record is sound, highlighted by a winning hat-trick over this distance last summer.

Although her second-up stats are plain, her most recent attempt in this phase produced a runner-up finish over this track-and-trip in a Saturday 60+ during winter.

That June 28 event has proven a strong form reference, taken out by Arcadia Park, who subsequently won his next two outings at Listed level.

This looks an open race outside of the favourite, and No Peer appeals at an each-way quote.
