The gelding recorded three wins last year including over 1200m at this venue when taking out a Benchmark 84 handicap in October.
Racing on a good 4 track the four-year-old came home two-and-a-half-lengths clear of his six rivals having been ridden cold that day.
The selection had previously delivered a near two-length triumph over this distance in a Benchmark 64 handicap at Murray Bridge.
While the gelding could finish only second in the 1200m Sportsbet Gytrash Final over 1200m here in November he was beaten just half-a-length that day.
That contest has produced a couple of winners with the winner Sir Sway and eighth home both registering wins subsequently.
The pick went well first up last prep debuting with a victory in a 1000m maiden held on a soft 5 track at Murray Bridge in July.
Apprentice Taylor Johnstone’s two-kilogram claim is a positive and her mount can help her improve on her 18% strike-rate (15/84) when riding for the Andrew Gluyas stable.

The first of those triumphs came on the good 4 track forecast for this event with the gelding ending that prep with a mid-division finish in the Gawler Cup in October.
The selection was beaten just under five lengths from a double-figure barrier at Gawler and he has performed well on both appearances since resuming.
The second of those starts saw the gelding narrowly beaten when finishing runner-up in a 1400m Benchmark 68 handicap held on the Parks course at this venue two weeks ago.
Mick Huxtable’s representative has an inside barrier here and having shown good early speed in the past he looks up to recording his first win of 2025.

The Aaron Bain & Ned Taylor stable are in great form at present with the son of Written Tycoon looking the best of the pair on his first start since transferring from Singapore.
The five-year-old showed good form in Singapore including when narrowly beaten in the 1800m Group 1 Singapore Derby in July last year.
The pick was racing at the highest level for the first time that day and he again acquitted himself well when fourth in a 1600m Group 1 contest the following month.
Both of those efforts came on good going with the gelding dropping back in distance to deliver short-priced favouritism in a 1400m Class 1 event on his penultimate start in Singapore.
The selection started awkwardly in the 2000m Group 1 Grand Singapore Gold Cup on his final start of 2024 and he showed improvement in his second barrier trial of the year earlier this month.
Regular rider Manoel Nunes knows the pick well and his mount looks value to record a win on his first Australian start in over two years.

The filly broke through for her first win when taking out a 1400m Benchmark 64 handicap held on a good 4 track on the Hillside track at Sandown at the end of August.
While the youngster finished held in Listed company at Caulfield next time she has delivered good efforts on both starts since resuming with a sixth at Pakenham at the end of January.
The pick was beaten just over two lengths in a 1400m Benchmark 64 handicap that day and she went on to place second in a similar event over 1450m at Kilmore the following month.
Mick Price & Michael Kent’s representative recorded her best effort to date when placing third in the Platinum Guineas at Caulfield on her first start over this distance two weeks ago.
The daughter of Toronado usually races close to or on the speed and jumping from an inside barrier she is taken to record a win racing in blinkers for the first time.
