Ascot Best Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Tawkin’ Jibberish
The four-year-old has been in good form in recent months winning two of her last four starts with both of those victories coming over this track and trip.
The first of those wins saw the filly make all the running to deliver a near two-and-a-half-length victory in a Class 1 handicap last month.
While two defeats followed the pick registered good efforts when ridden with more restraint on each occasion including when a length second here on her penultimate start.
The daughter of Ducimus caught the eye in finishing strongly that day with the fourth home Banks Avenue going on to salute at Belmont earlier this week.
The selection returned to frontrunning tactics when racing here ten days ago and jumping from barrier six she came home nearly four lengths clear of her rivals when racing on a good 4 track.
Luke Fernie’s filly registered an impressive win in a good time on that occasion and having shown good early speed she should prove capable of getting out and to the front in this contest.
Seacorp Handicap Tips (Race 4)
Ascot Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 8 Be Bardot
The filly showed good form earlier this season registering two victories at Belmont with the first of those coming over 1200m in a Class 1 handicap.
The selection recorded a near two-and-a-half-length success when racing on a soft 5 surface and she proved that quicker going is no issue when following up on a good 4 track subsequently.
The daughter of Toronado started at short odds for a Class 3 handicap over this distance that day with the third home winning next time.
The four-year-old failed to shine over 1800m subsequently ending that prep with a good fourth over 1500m at this venue at the start of November.
Grant & Alana Williams’ representative returned to action with a strong finishing second having been ridden cold in a 1200m Class 3 handicap here earlier this month.
The pick jumped from a wide barrier on that occasion and with improvement expected and the step up in distance a positive she is taken to record the third win of her career.
Supremacy Stakes (Listed) Tips (Race 7)
Ascot Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 4 Talkanco
The daughter of I’m All Talk showed up well in her barrier trials prior to making her racecourse debut in the Magic Millions Plate over 1000m here in November.
The filly was ridden with restraint prior to finishing strongly to deliver a victory by nearly two lengths when racing on a good 4 surface on that occasion.
The pick went on to finish runner-up, beaten one-and-a-half-lengths having jumped at $1.60 for the Magic Millions – Crystal Slipper Stakes over the same track and trip two weeks later.
The youngster was ridden closer to the speed when beaten by Yes Queen who is set to reoppose here having made all when debuting that day.
However, Yes Queen isn’t expected to have things all her own way here with fellow winning debutant Luana Miss another to have raced prominently on debut.
The selection showed up well in a 1000m barrier trial at Belmont recently and she is taken to register the second win of her career.
Rock Magic Stakes Tips (Race 8)
Ascot Value Bet - Race 8 No. 7 Baby Paris
Colin Webster’s representative has demonstrated a liking for this track in the past with six of her nine wins coming at this venue.
Those wins include a good two-length success when racing against her own sex in the 1200m Listed Jungle Mist Classic here in June.
The selection was racing second up that day having been beaten just over one-and-a-half-lengths in the 1000m Listed R.S. Crawford Stakes here on her return to action the previous month.
Both of those efforts came on the good 4 going forecast here and she was spelled following a mid-division finish in the Listed Jungle Dawn Classic over 1400m at the end of November.
The five-year-old has gone well first up in the past including when taking out the 1200m Marjorie Charleson Classic here in April last year.
While the mare’s best recent efforts have come over further she went well in a recent trial at Belmont and looks value to register her third win over this distance.
