Eagle Farm Value Bet - Race 1 No. 6 On Point Pixie
A cheap $15,000 purchase at the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale last year the filly has demonstrated plenty of ability in her two starts to date.
The first of those saw her lose out by a length when racing from mid-division prior to finishing third in a 1000m maiden at Sunshine Coast last month.
The pick, had won a barrier trial at Gold Coast when prepping for that contest proved that effort was no fluke when finishing runner-up stepped up to 1300m here last time out.
A change of tactics saw the filly race on the pace here last time out with both of those efforts coming on wet tracks.
The booking of Damien Thornton is a positive given the rider can boast 40% strike-rate (2/5) when teaming up with the Paul Shailer stable this season.
An inside barrier is a further positive here and with the extra distance expected to suit the filly looks value to break through for her first win.

Eagle Farm Best Bet - Race 5 No. 5 Deep Focus
The New Zealand-bred is the joint-least experienced runner in the field with just three starts to his name.
The youngster has shown up well in all three of those outings however including when showing a liking for a wet track when debuting in a 1400m maiden held on a soft 5 at Gold Coast in February.
The selection came home two lengths clear of his rivals on that occasion and he has gone on to place second here in both subsequent starts.
The gelding was slowly away when beaten one-and-a-half-lengths in a 1400m event here at the start of last month on his penultimate start.
The winner and the fourth home that day have both boosted the form by winning since while the pick went on to place second stepped up to 1600m here five weeks ago.
The pick found only an all the way winner too strong when ridden cold that day and he looks up to returning to winning ways with the forecast soft 7 going expected to suit.
Ladbrokes Ascot Handicap (Listed) Tips (Race 8)
Eagle Farm Next Best Bet - Race 8 No. 9 Wanda Rox
Lindsay Hatch’s representative has shown a liking for this track in the past registering three wins and a second-place finish from four starts.
Two of those wins came last prep including when successful by nearly one-and-a-half-lengths over this distance under Tahlia Fenlon in October.
The five-year-old failed to shine when racing down the straight over 1100m at Flemington in the Group 3 Furphy Sprint the following month.
The daughter of Wandjina maintained her unbeaten first up record when saluting at $3.80 in a Benchmark 90 handicap over this track and trip at the start of last month.
The mare went on to finish runner-up when tackling an open handicap over the same course and distance two weeks later.
Both of those efforts came on a good 4 track and having placed on heavy tracks in the past she shouldn’t have too many issues with the forecast soft 6 going.
The pick boasts a good barrier two from the rail while she looks up to recording a win having been freshened since her latest effort.
Moreton Hire Daybreak Lover (Listed) Tips (Race 9)
Eagle Farm Feature Bet - Race 9 No. 3 Goodlucktome
The son of Written Tycoon broke through for his first victory when successful over 1200m at Canterbury at the start of the year.
The pick was victorious on a good 4 track that day and he performed well when fourth over the same distance when jumping at big odds at Randwick the following month.
The gelding had been freshened prior to that effort and a switch to racing in Brisbane appeared to suit when he registered a one-and-a-half-length victory here at the start of last month.
The three-year-old raced over this distance for just the second time when racing on a good 4 track that day and the switch to a wet track proved no issue at Doomben subsequently.
The selection duly completed a double when winning by half-a-length in a 1350m contest that day and he has the services of Ryan Maloney, on board for the first time that day once more.
The return to 1400m is in his favour here and jumping from barrier three he is taken to register the fourth win of his career.
