A return to his home track looks ideal for Nimble Star after the Brett Robb-trained gelding contested all four starts this preparation in Sydney.
He came close two runs ago when runner-up to Weyburn in a TAB Highway over 1200m, with the five-year-old having little luck in running before finishing strongly.
There were more excuses at Rosehill last time when he was caught wide without cover before again finishing behind Weyburn, making the effort better than the bare result suggests.
Nimble Star now drops back to country grade looking to snap a winning drought of more than a year, and his Dubbo record of two wins from four appearances adds further confidence.
Barrier 14 is the obvious challenge, but Shannon Llewellyn takes the ride and, with a significant class drop in his favour, Nimble Star looks hard to beat over 1400m.

A stable switch adds some intrigue to Symphonite, with the mare having her first start for Melissa Harrison after bringing respectable Victorian form north.

While well beaten by Huey at Casterton last time, her previous Mount Gambier effort was much more encouraging and gives her a stronger platform for this assignment.
