Cranbourne Best Bet - Race 3 No. 4 Two Wolves
Getting to 1600m third-up looks ideal for Two Wolves, with the Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained gelding building towards peak fitness after two runs back.
He showed plenty of promise last preparation, winning twice including a Benchmark 70 at Caulfield in January, and has finished seventh in both starts this campaign without being far away.
The first-up run was clearly needed before he endured little luck second-up, yet still finished around four lengths from the winner and shaped as though there was improvement to come.
At the corresponding stage of his previous preparation he improved almost seven lengths on benchmark figures to win at Caulfield, which suggests he is capable of another sharp step forward now.
The son of Castelvecchio has already performed on rain-affected ground and draws to settle within striking distance, giving him every chance to produce his best third-up.

Cranbourne Value Bet - Race 6 No. 14 Nothingelsematters
Second emergency Nothingelsematters is the runner we want gaining a start in Race 6 over 2025m, with the six-year-old bringing a strong fitness base into the assignment.
The Cranbourne-trained gelding has been up for some time and most recently finished fifth at Mornington on Grand Final Day in Benchmark 84 company despite starting at $61.
That effort had merit given the level of opposition, and dropping back into a more suitable assignment gives him a much more realistic chance of being competitive.
All three of his career wins have come on Soft or Heavy tracks, while the inside draw should allow him to potentially box-seat behind the leader and save valuable ground throughout.
With race fitness firmly on his side and the map looking favourable if he gains a start, Nothingelsematters shapes as an appealing value chance late in the card.
