Sunshine Coast Best Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Taravia
A strong record at this venue gives Taravia plenty of appeal, with the New Zealand-bred gelding saluting here on his penultimate start after racing on speed in Benchmark 65 company and clearing out by almost two lengths.
He backed that performance up with a solid fifth at the Gold Coast two weeks ago over the same distance in Benchmark 78 grade, where a change of tactics saw him ridden with more restraint from a low weight.
The drop back in class is a clear positive here, while the return to a more suitable level gives him the opportunity to reproduce the form that delivered his Sunshine Coast victory.
Both recent runs came on Good ground, while the gelding has also previously shown his versatility by breaking his maiden on Heavy going.
Blinkers go on for the first time this preparation and, with Bella Youngberry aboard, Taravia looks well placed to record his second win of the campaign.

Sunshine Coast Roughie - Race 5 No. 4 Blakemore Avenue
Two previous wins at this course give Blakemore Avenue a strong profile for this assignment, including a Benchmark 70 success here in April.
That victory came on a Soft surface, while the mare has also won on Good ground in metropolitan company at Eagle Farm, highlighting her versatility.
Both runs this preparation have come in the city, and she should have taken fitness from her latest sixth-of-seven effort at Eagle Farm just under a month ago.
Barrier four gives the daughter of Pierata every chance to secure a favourable position, while the drop from metropolitan company is another significant positive.
Tiffani Brooker takes the ride and, with the pair looking to combine for a fourth victory together, Blakemore Avenue shapes as an appealing roughie for a stable that has enjoyed plenty of success at this venue.

A strong maiden success at Toowoomba in May remains one of Paciera’s better performances, with the mare scoring by more than three lengths on a Soft surface.
She has made only two subsequent starts since that breakthrough, leaving scope for further improvement as she progresses through the preparation.
Her most recent appearance came here last month when resuming against her own sex, with the mare finishing fifth after being ridden cold following an awkward start and beaten only two-and-a-half lengths.
That return came on Good ground and she should have taken fitness from the run, while the rise in distance and barrier two both look positives for Kristie Clark-Peoples’ representative.
Michael Rodd retains the ride after partnering her first-up, and with a better setup this time, Paciera looks capable of surprising some of the more fancied runners.

Sunshine Coast Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 7 Kobability
Improvement with racing has been evident from Kobability this preparation, with the mare breaking through for her maiden victory at Doomben just over two weeks ago.
A fast beginning allowed her to control the race from the front over 1350m, and she held on strongly to score by half a length in the nine-runner contest on Good ground.
That form has not been properly tested yet, but she looks suitably placed for her first attempt against previous winners and still appears to have some upside.
Her previous form includes a placing on a wet surface at Ipswich on her penultimate start, while the rise in distance is no concern after already showing she can perform over further.
An inside barrier and the prospect of finding an uncontested lead both work in her favour, giving Kobability a strong chance to provide trainer Olivia Cairns with another winner.
