Doomben hosts a competitive ten-race meeting on Saturday, November 15, highlighted by the Listed Keith Noud and supported by a strong fillies and mares race alongside several deep Benchmark events.

Doomben Value Bet - Race 2 No. 3 Connecticut

The six-year-old has been kept busy in 2025 and he has two wins to his name, including an Eagle Farm success on his penultimate start.

He came home more than half-a-length clear when contesting a 2206m Benchmark 78 on that occasion, backing up a strong second over 2200m on soft ground at this circuit.

Trained by Corey & Kylie Geran, the gelding owns two wins on soft going and arrives here after finishing third over 2406m at Eagle Farm two weeks ago, where he was held up in the straight before finishing seven lengths off them.

He gets a drop in distance here and has previous track-and-trip form, having run second in a similar race at Doomben in August.

Given the setup and his consistency, he looks value to upset a couple of better-fancied rivals.

Doomben Next Best Bet - Race 4 No. 1 Alectrona

The Chris & Corey Munce stable has been in strong form, with ten of their twenty-three November runners (at time of writing) registering wins.

Alectrona has finished second in four of her five starts this prep, with the only exception being her season return at Eagle Farm.

Two of those seconds have come at Doomben, including in a 1200m Class 3 Plate in August, and she has been beaten less than two lengths in two of her three runs since, including over this track and trip.

She has been freshened since contesting a 1200m Class 3 Plate at Eagle Farm just over a month ago and arrives off a strong trial win here last week.

The mare has handled wet ground previously and looks capable of breaking through for her first win of the campaign.

SENQ Class 6 Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Doomben Best Bet - Race 6 No. 4 Exceed Speed

Exceed Speed has produced solid wet-track form throughout his career, with his latest soft-track win coming in a Class 4 Plate at Eagle Farm in August.

He scored by nearly half-a-length over 1400m on a Soft 5 that day before following up when we were with him for a 1615m Benchmark 70 at Doomben the next month.

That race has since stacked up exceptionally well, producing multiple subsequent winners including the second, fifth and ninth placegetters.

Jockey Ben Thompson dropped his whip with 100m to run when the gelding finished a brave third in a Benchmark 80 at Toowoomba last start on good ground.

Freshened since that outing and off a sound Doomben trial earlier this month, he looks well placed to deliver the fifth win of his career over a track and trip he enjoys.

Moreton Hire Keith Noud (Listed) Tips (Race 7)

Doomben Feature Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Rockribbed

Tony Gollan won this race four years running from 2018–2021 and, with Pereille scratched, Rockribbed is one of four stable representatives engaged.

The veteran has always excelled on wet tracks, boasting five wins from thirteen starts on soft or heavy ground, including two victories last prep.

The second of those came in Listed company at the Gold Coast in May, where he scored by one-and-a-half lengths on a Heavy 8 before being spelled following two runs on firm surfaces.

He has been given three barrier trials ahead of his return and possesses a strong fresh record with three first-up wins.

The son of Night Of Thunder has won two of his four Doomben starts and from barrier nine he looks well placed to resume with another victory.
