Belmont Tips July 1
Drummond Golf Maiden Tips (Race 2)
Belmont Best Bet - Race 2 No. 1 Sunset Session
His best two performances have both come on rain-affected tracks and over 1000m.
The first of those was a debut second earlier in the season, when runner-up to Castle Road in a Saturday three-year-old plate at Pinjarra, with that resuming galloper having taken out a Listed event only two starts prior, which was his third victory as a juvenile.
The latest on wet ground was a Soft 6 second when just topped off late at his June 17 resumption by Tidwell, before he wasn't disgraced in a strong 60+ at Belmont last Saturday.
Coming back to maiden midweek company under set weights conditions is a positive for the Gangemi-trained three-year-old, who suggested he would improve off the fresh run following his June 8 Belmont trial second, which was workmanlike.
From a really good family is the resuming Deepest Desire, who arrives off a trial win, but Sunset Session is still the one to beat.
Morley Growers Market Handicap Tips (Race 6)
Belmont Value Bet - Race 6 No. 12 Proportrait
While the overall strike rate is poor, Proportrait has often been thereabouts and did lose the rider when well supported for an Ascot Class 1 on January 15, having been spelled after that mile attempt.
The gelding improved off a plain first-up trial when runner-up in a 1200m heat on May 11 before resuming in a Belmont Class 1 over 1300m on May 27, where he finished third.
He should have finished a touch closer in that first-up assignment before being supported at odds on June 10, when working home in the worst part of the going here and only narrowly defeated in Class 3 company.
While there's some depth to this Class 1 handicap, it also represents a drop in grade for Proportrait.
It's just whether he's looking for a touch further now; however, on an each-way basis, he makes some appeal in the penultimate.

Belmont Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 7 Strapping Prophet
The market has this right, with Esta Mirando shading Strapping Prophet for favouritism, and while respecting the Williams and Pike combination, this gelding is bursting for win number two, arriving here off five consecutive runner-up finishes.
He did have every chance in the first of those when rounding out his last campaign, although that event was taken out by Snippety Legend, who won three of his next five starts.
Strapping Prophet then covered ground in a narrow fresh defeat before chasing home Herault, who placed at his next two starts, including a Listed third.
Via his last two seconds, the winners have simply enjoyed better runs in transit, with both carrying less weight, including the latest here on June 20, when he gave 4.5kg to God's Grin, who is no slouch.
He's now the one down in the weights after carrying bigger imposts, with just 54kg following Natika Riordan's claim, an apprentice jockey who rode 12 winners in June.
