Matt Tripp, the former head of Sportsbet and BetEasy, joined forced with sports-gambling company Tekkorp and News Corp Australia to create a powerful team.
Tekkorp are already one of the biggest shareholders in BetMakers, although owner Matt Davey stepped down from the BetMakers board on the back of the launch of Betr.
In 2024, the Betr brand was sold to BlueBet and the two wagering sites have been merged. BlueBet opted to become solely Betr from August 2024.
