This gelding has a decent overall record, with seven wins and 10 placings from 28 starts and in four first-up attempts, he has a win, two placings and a fourth.

A Brisbane metro winner as a late two-year-old, Shamedy joined the Todd Payne stable ahead of last summer and he was competitive either side of a January 25 romp.

Luke Rolls has ridden the last three winners from this stable and he was aboard Shamedy in a Tamworth trial on June 16, where he was good late when under a hold.

With no first or second-up wins to his name, Cenotes always takes a few runs to get warm and now out 1600m third-up, the son of Rebel Dane shouldn't be far away.

He was ridden very cold in the Wauchope Cup, but he made inroads from the rear (second-fastest closing sectionals of the race) and a switch to Tamworth is in his favour.

Cenotes is three-from-three at Tamworth, which includes a winning double last winner before completing a hat-trick at Kempsey and he's adept on all surfaces.

Tamworth Value Bet - Race 8 No. 12 Cryptic Verse

While she's a rising six-year-old, Cryptic Verse is still lightly raced and the mare has been in decent touch via three appearances since a 10-month absence.

After winning a modest affair at big odds, the daughter of Churchill should've finished closer when fifth-of-thirteen at Grafton and six winners have come from that race.

Cryptic Verse was then freshened-up for a May 9 tilt, where she was backed late ($20-$12) and despite covering ground, she still finished within two lengths of the winner.
