Chris Waller has switched Pirrup south and the son of Preferment did work nicely in a Flemington jump-out on July 25, where the blinkers were applied and that key gear change is in effect for start three.

While he was a touch green, there was still merit to the debut performance at Kembla Grange on June 21, where the gelding got warm late in a slowly run race and he then started fav in a Gosford Super Maiden.

Pirrip settled much further back than anticipated via that July 10 attempt, where he recorded the second-fastest closing splits of the race and from a low draw on Wednesday, he can land much closer here.

Sandown Best Bet - Race 5 No. 4 Moonlight Circus

She was the pick of the closers last time out at Flemington, where Moonlight Circus was stepping up in grade second-up following a return win on the Pakenham Synthetic and the form around her reads well.

The four-year-old was no match for Em Sixty on July 19, who completed a hat-trick in that metro event, but she still got the better of All Business, who arrived to that clash off a victory in a Sandown BM64.

Seven furlongs was on the short side first-up last month, however, Moonlight Circus arrived just in time to defeat Lady Elsa and that runner-up franked the form with 3.25-length maiden triumph last week.

Stow Storage Solutions Handicap Tips (Race 7)

Sandown Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 7 Yachiyo

A lightly raced mare from the Price & Kent (Jnr) stable, Yachiyo quickly atoned from a debut failure when bolting in at start two and she followed that performance up with two placings in handy company.

The Future Stars can be a strong reference and Yachiyo finished third in the final, a race that's already produced a stakes winner, while Nostringsattached (winner) was narrowly beaten at Listed level via his next start.

Five winners have come from her fourth outing at Bendigo, where she was pipped late in a fighting performance and leading into Wednesday's resumption, the five-year-old has completed two jump-out's.

Sandown Roughie - Race 8 No. 13 Howdy

This son of Spieth joined the Michael Trotter yard ahead of his last campaign and aside from a return failure at Pakenham, where he pulled up lame, Howdy was consistent throughout the autumn period.

He caught the eye second-up when runner-up over 1200m and getting up in trip helped from there, with two wins from his next three starts (all at 1400m-1500m) before rounding out the prep with a fourth at Sandown.

There was decent form around his two wins, with Makdane and Feeling Dusty in those fields, while after settling a long way back at Geelong on July 25, Howdy was hard to miss late when rattling home for third.
