This son of Dundeel has improved with every run over his first campaign, which includes a sixth-of-twelve finish on debut at Debut, where he was doing his best work late.

Omamori has campaigned on more testing ground via his last two appearances and following a runner-up finish at Donald, he was only grabbed late as a beaten fav at Cranbourne.

After working to settle outside of the leader, Omamori fought off the on-speed brigade when forced for home early, while the quinella came from off the speed and the first three did clear out.

Sale Next Best Bet - Race 7 No. 3 Justdoit

Let's hope connections aren't perturbed by the barrier, as the middle/wider lanes are often the place to be at Sale, especially late on a meeting when it's rain affected.

With three solid chasing runs to open her winter campaign, including her last two at midweek metro company, Justdoit looks superbly placed coming back to a country BM64 here.

The second-up form around Bossy Benita, Tango Jewel and Enna's Dream reads superbly for a race of this strength, as does her last outing at 1400m vs Kira, Ten Deep and Dubai Dancer.

Sale Value Bet - Race 8 No. 4 Absolute Deel

He has no winning form on wet ground, however, it's a very small sample size of only three starts on soft and heavy going, while the gelding got home fairly well in the last of those attempts.

Absolute Deel opened his prep with a slashing sixth-of-ten over 1400m on the Pakenham Synthetic, where the five-year-old ran the fastest last 800/600m/400m and 200m of a BM70.

Compared to what he's faced in his prior two winter runs, there's less depth to Thursday's BM64 field and with improvement to come third-up, Absolute Deel has each-way claims.
