Costazita has been lightly raced for his age but has always shown glimpses of ability. He’s returned with two solid runs over 1000m and should strip fitter stepping up to a more suitable 1200m.

Both of his career wins have come at this distance, and the rise in trip looks a clear positive after building fitness at shorter journeys.

His only real failure came on a Heavy 9 track in June, so the likelihood of a drying surface is a major tick. He has otherwise been honest whenever asked.

At a double-figure quote, he’s capable of running a cheeky race and adds interest for those looking outside the favourites.
