Race 4 No. 3 Net Zero

He could be on a WA Derby path and with that April staying feature in mind, Net Zero was given a freshen-up after recording a third-up romp over 1690m at Bunbury on January 16.

The Daniel Morton-trained galloper was almost five weeks between runs when contesting a Class 1 on February 19 and he lost no admirers when runner-up to Summer's Legacy.

The three-year-old was giving 2kg to what looks a talented filly and the odds-on fav had his back throughout that Belmont contest before producing a superior turn-of-foot.

This midweek Class 1contest looks a little easier than his latest assignment and with Net Zero stripping fitter from that most recent hit-out, he can bounce back on Wednesday.

Race 6 No. 5 Final Authority

This son of Zoustar was competitive first-up when working home on the slower lanes of the Pinjarra straight-course and the form around that race has stood up quite well.

Two subsequent winners have been produced from that February 15 event, which includes Saturday winner Rocking Gem and Shooting Spirit bolted in on last Wednesday's card.

A return to Belmont suits Final Authority, with three of his four wins coming over this track/trip and he hasn't finished out of the top two when second-up on good ground.

Fast speed is predicted for this 1000m dash, which should allow jockey Shaun McGruddy to take a sit from gate seven and chime in late aboard Final Authority.

Race 3 No. 4 Che Figata

He worked home well in two appearances early this season before a spell and after drawing out twice, the gelding has gate five for Tuesday's resumption.

After sharing early favouritism with Master Raffles, Che Figata is now an outright favourite with Neds ($3.40-$2.90).

Stats Say:

William Pike was sidelined for just over two months due to injury and the champion hoop has ridden seven winners from 21 rides since his February 19 return.

'The Wizard' has four engagements on Wednesday's Belmont meeting.
