Top Player Props for NFL24/25 - Week 5
We have now started with bye weeks with 4 teams getting the week to rest and recouperate after a fast start to the season which is a quarter way through.
Most Regular Season Passing Yards
Not much has changed in this market since last week. The top 4 players are all still there with slightly lower odds on Prescott.
We have also seen most of these teams play against good pass and rush defences so there is an ability to try and extrapolate results and count in to a winner. It will be hard for the contenders to take Dak Prescott unless he succumbs to injury.
Offensive Player of the Year
As we predicted last week Derrick Henry taken over the mantle for lowest odds in this award and is now at $4. If you missed the boat there is sure to be a chance later on this year considering the history of his yo-yoing performances. Justin Jefferson is still a possibility at $7.50 if you think the Vikings have what it takes to finish up the top of the conference.
Alvin Kamara has pushed out to $29 and is still a good long shot option but if he doesn't get going this week he is probably a goner.
Defensive Player of the Year
Aidan Hutchinson $3.75 and TJ Watt $4.25 haven't moved and this award is still a two horse race. Looking at the schedule and hoping for some action we could see a surge from Patrick Surtain II who is currently at $17, worth a look maybe?
Top Player Props for NFL24/25 - Week 4
We finish week 4 with only 2 teams remaining undefeated and some big storylines starting to take shape around players.
Most Regular Season Passing Yards
Dak Prescott $5.25 has taken up the mantle of favourite with CJ Stround $5.75 and Brock Purdy $6.00 hot on his heels. Geno Smith $6.50 has entered the race but shouldn't be trusted, at least not at that price. If you are after value look at Sam Darnold $11 or Baker Mayfield who you can still get for $13
Offensive Player of the Year
Saquon is still the favourite here but with two massive weeks behind him Derrick Henry has climbed in the odds to $6, you won't get him at that price until he starts meeting some good rush defences, so if you like Henry take him now!
Alvin Kamara has steadied at $23 and is still a good long shot option should the Saints regather some of that early season form.
Defensive Player of the Year
This week we are getting better numbers on both TJ Watt and Aidan Hutchison. Nick Bosa has shortened dramatically to even out the odds with there being a distinct margin between the top two, Bosa at three and the rest of the field.
Top Player Props for NFL24/25 - Week 3
Most Regular Season Passing Yards
Week 3 threw up some interesting results with some proper movement in the odds for most Passing Yards.
CJ Stroud $6.00 - Has pushed out a little again but is still our top pick as one of the most consisten QB's in the league.
Matthew Stafford $11.00 - It is a bit of a punt with Stafford as we know the Rams aren't great and there are some shortcomings in the receiving unit. Add to that injuries which have plauged this team for a few years and it is a tough ask to lay any cash on this. But the number is juicy.
Baker Mayfield $19.00 - is still a good shot in my eyes, all he needs is a couple good games in a row and this number will be long forgotten.
Offensive Player of the Year
Saquon Barkley has shortened dramatically for the OPOY award and is probably too short now to get behind at $4.20. For any other player to start getting close you would probably need the Eagles to fall off a cliff or there to be some sort of injury which keeps him out for a couple weeks. If you think the Vikings are for real then Justin Jefferson is a good pick at $7.00, he sits second in the rankings this week.
Defensive Player of the Year
Already after three weeks it seems this has delved into a two horse shootout between TJ Watt $3.50 and Aidan Hutchinson $3.75. The Lions should go much farther than the Steelers this year and we know that being on a good team helps the voters. If you want a roughy you could take a swing on Nick Bosa at $15.00 hoping for a 49ers resurgance.
Top Player Props for NFL24/25 - Week 2
Most Regular Season Passing Yards
With Tua now out of the running and Jordan Love expected to miss a number of weeks this market is wide open!
CJ Stroud $5.00 - CJ continues to shorten and is now the joint favourite to take out the title of Most Regular season passing yards. He currently sits 7th in the rankings on 494 yards.
Baker Mayfield $13.00 - Baker and the Buccs are currently 2-0 with a relatively "pass heavy" schedule looking forward. Mayfield finished 9th in total yards last season roughly 600 yards behind first place.
Matthew Stafford ($9.00) has probably shortened a little too much for it to be worth a punt on him, Kirk Cousins and Sam Darnold are probably too inconsistent with probably Brock Purdy ($8.00) the only other legitimate threat to take out the title.
Offensive Player of the Year
Saquon Barkley has cemented himself as the odds on favourite to take out OPOY and is still relatively good value at $7.00. Barkley backed up his game against the Packers with a solid performance in the Eagles loss to Atlanta. If you think the Cowboys will be around at the pointy end of the season CeeDee Lamb $8.00 will be a big reason for that, he sits second in the rankings this week.
Defensive Player of the Year
TJ Watt had another massive game last week but it is the emergence of Aidan Hutchison, the Defensive End from the Detroit Lions that has surprised us all. He has shot up to 2nd favourite in this award off the back of 4.5 Sacks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend.
Top Player Props for NFL24/25 - Week 1
Most Regular Season Passing Yards
Week 1 threw up some quality games with each of our three picks doing some damage on the passing end.
CJ Stroud $8.00 - The Texans focused a lot on their run game last weekend against the Colts with new RB Joe Mixon having 30 carries for 159 yds. Stroud still threw for 234yds and has only drifted out $0.50, worth holding for another week to see what happens.
Tua Tagovailoa $7.50 - Our suspicions were realised with Tua having an outstanding passing game against the Jaguars over the weekend. Tua topped the league with 338 yds and has shortened heavily from his pre-season number of $10 to take the title.
Jordan Love got injured in the final minutes of his game against Philly and it is yet to be determined if he will miss any time. Matthew Stafford and Baker Mayfield had good passing games at the weekend and we will be keeping our eye on them going into week 2.
Offensive Player of the Year
Tyreek Hill and Saquon Barkley lead the charge with Christian McCaffrey sitting out Week 1 due to injury. Barkley terrorised the Packers defence in his new team at Philly while Tyreek did not let some pre-game scandals interrupt his mojo picking up an 80yd receiving TD against Jax.
Defensive Player of the Year
TJ Watt and the Steelers defence essentially carried their team to victory against the Falcons with their offence scoring 18 pts but no touchdowns. Micah Parsons was also at his best for Dallas as they put away the Browns. These two players currently lead the odds to take out the title for DPOY.
Top Player Props for NFL 24/25 - Pre Season
Most Regular Season Passing Yards
Regular season Passing Yards is one of the hardest but also one of the funnest bets to get on. Your QB not only has to stay healthy but the receiving core needs to be firing and the schedule needs to be nice with matchups against poor passing defence. These are our top 3 pre-season picks for Most Regular Season Passing Yards
CJ Stroud $7.50 - CJ had a breakout year last season for the Texans, throwing 4108 yards with 23 TD’s and only 5 INT in 15 games played. The Texans acquired WR Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills as well as extending WR Nico Collins giving a 1,2,3 punch with Tank Dell. This will give Stroud the perfect opportunity to take the crown this season.
Tua Tagovailoa $10 - Tua threw the most yards in the regular season last year and will be up there again this season with a strong WR base and a favourable schedule. With a history of injury though Tua will need to play every game to have a chance to take the title. The last back to back winner of Most Regular Season Passing Yards was Drew Brees in 2015-2016.
Long Shot: Jordan Love $19 - Love showed a lot of promise toward the backend of last season. He threw for a total of 4159 yards which put him at 7th on the rankings for Passing Yards. He will have another off-season under his belt and with Green Bay tipped to improve he is a good roughie to keep an eye on.
Player Passing Yards
Brock Purdy Over 3925.5 $2.10 - Purdy threw for 4280 yds last season in only 16 games. The team is more of a threat with their running game but that opens the space up for Purdy to throw the ball when needed. With the number low and the plus money it is worth a sprinkle.
Dak Prescott Over 4150.5 $2.10 - Prescott had the highest number of completed passes last season amassing a total of 4516 yds off 410 completions. The Cowboys will once again be pressing for a Superbowl and Prescott is in the prime of his career. Take the Over.
Sam Darnold Under 3500.5 $1.90 - It’s never fun to hack on a guy but Darnold has not gotten a lot of love this pre-season from the media. Taking an Under means we are hoping for injury or selection issues and I am predicting Darnold to lose his starting job sometime this season with Nick Mullens waiting in the wings.
Player Receiving Yards
Amon-Ra St Brown Over 1275.5 $2.00 - St Brown had an amazing season last year off the back of the rise of the Lions racking up 1515 receiving yards. With Goff at QB anything is possible for this team during the regular season and there is nothing to say they won’t be able to repeat this performance
Stefon Diggs Over 900.5 $1.90 - Moving to Houston could either see Diggs explode or fall flat. He will have the QB to be able to deliver consistent yards but could see fewer attempts having to share with Collins and Dell. I still like the Over at this low total. $1.90
Justin Jefferson Under 1300.5 $1.86 - This take is not so much on Jefferson but more so on the Vikings and the problems they may have at the QB spot. To be able to hit high numbers in receiving there has to be a good connection with the passer and the receiver. If at any stage this season that falls apart then this number is definitely going Under.
Player Rushing Yards
Christian McCaffrey Over 1125.5 $1.90 - McCaffrey is once again the favourite to take out the title for Most Rushing Yards this upcoming season. To do that he will need to go Over his personal total by a margin. The lowest number of Rushing Yards by a Season Leader in the last 10 years was Kareem Hunt in 2017 with only 1327 yds. The 49ers offence is also built to run. Lock it in. $1.90
Tony Pollard Over 750.5 $1.76 - Pollard signed with the Tennesse Titans over the off-season and through the pre season has been alternating RB duties with Tyjae Spears. My prediction is that when the season gets going Pollard will be RB1 with his experience and strength putting him in front of Spears. He ran for over 1000 yds his past two seasons at Dallas, take the Over.
Jalen Hurts Under 600.5 $2.00 - The Philly QB ran for 605 yds last season a big dip from his 760 yds the year prior. This was due to injury and game play which i believe will again restrict his ability to rack up yards this season. The Eagles cannot afford to have him out of the game and will protect him by minimising the run.
Player Interceptions
Josh Allen Over 12.5 $2.00 - Allen has thrown 14 or more INT in his past 3 seasons. My prediction is that the Bills will be as erratic as ever this year as they see their Superbowl window slowly close in front of them.
Daniel Jones Over 8.5 $2.00 - The Giants QB missed most of last season due to injury but in the 6 games he played he threw 6 INT. It is hard to see where the Giants will end up this season but in a crowded NFC East they will need to be taking chances sometime this season and that works in our favour. Take the Over.
Gardner Minshew Under 9.5 $1.95 - Minshew is a bit of a unicorn. He is not a great player and has been bounced around a number of teams. He continues thought to defy the odds and win games or at least keep his team involved. He gave up only 9 INT in 17 games last season thrown in the deep end at Indy. My prediction here though is based on him not starting every game for the Raiders this year giving the chances for an Under a big shot in the arm.
Regular Season Awards Odds
Offensive Player of the Year
The Offensive Player of the Year award is a bit of a unicorn in the NFL. Unlike the MVP, this honor isn’t bogged down by team success or the nitty-gritty of a player’s “value.” It’s all about celebrating the players who lit up the field like a Christmas tree, even if they didn’t quite get the MVP nod. Think of it as the prize for the guy who made defenses look silly week in and week out.
After taking home the Offensive Player of the Year crown in 2023, you’d expect Christian McCaffrey to start this season as the frontrunner. But with the new season just around the corner, it’s Tyreek Hill who’s got the slight edge over McCaffrey. Given how close the race was between the two last year, this makes perfect sense. It seems many bookies have a soft spot for Hill heading into the new season. But let’s not sleep on the other top guns in the league—wide receivers like CeeDee Lamb, Ja’Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson are more than capable of making their own case for the award and leaving defenders in the dust.
Defensive Player of the Year
Every year, the NFL crowns its top defensive juggernaut with the prestigious Defensive Player of the Year Award. It doesn’t matter if you’re a hulking lineman smashing through the trenches, a fleet-footed linebacker patrolling the middle, or a defensive back with hands like a Venus flytrap—if you’re wreaking havoc on the other team’s offense, you’re in the running for this honour. And let's be honest, since defenders rarely snag the MVP, this award is the crown jewel for those who thrive on bone-crunching tackles and game-changing interceptions.
In 2023, Myles Garrett muscled his way to the top, winning a nail-biting three-horse race for Defensive Player of the Year. It wasn’t a walk in the park though as T.J. Watt was hot on his heels, picking up 11 first-place votes to Garrett’s 23. Micah Parsons wasn’t too far behind, tallying seven first-place nods. Maxx Crosby and DaRon Bland also made a solid case, rounding out the top five contenders.
As we gear up for the 2024 season, Micah Parsons is the early favorite to snatch the crown. But don’t count out past winners like Nick Bosa, T.J. Watt, and Myles Garrett, who are all poised to make another run at glory. Let's not forget the rising stars like Maxx Crosby and Aidan Hutchinson, who are more than capable of turning a few heads—and quarterbacks' nightmares—this season.
Coach of the Year
This award is almost impossible to predict prior to the season starting as it almost always follows a narrative that emerges once the games are going.
Jim Harbaugh is currently the favourite to take the award as he returns to the NFL from the University of Michigan. His team the LA Chargers have a good roster but i can’t see the narrative which pushes him to the top. I am instead looking further down the list and guys like DeMeco Ryans for Houston with CJ Stroud making another leap or possibly even Robert Saleh of the New York Jets with Aaron Rodgers putting a full season together.
