Super Bowl LIX Prediction

Check out our deep dive and analysis of Super Bowl LIX curated by bets.com.au NFL Experts. We also have picks for Super Bowl MVP as well as First Touchdown.

In short we are backing the Eagles to break the chokehold that Kansas City have on the NFL.

Conference Championship

The Washington Commanders $8.00 are the outsiders to win the chip but they are also the team that is the most unpredictable and could surprise any one of these other 3 teams. Kansas City Chiefs $3.20 are second favourite with bookies stuck in the middle between sesason stats and the Mahomes and Andy Reid factor.

Buffalo Bills $3.50 are the pick of the bunch with most experts believing they have the team to win the Super Bowl should they just make it past the Chiefs. Philadelphia Eagles $2.85 are favourites to not only make it back to the big dance for the second time in 3 years but also repeat their winning effort from 2018.

Wild Card Round

Detroit Lions $4.00 have retaken the lead after their demolition of the Minnesota Vikings $17.00 in Week 18 to take the number 1 seed. Kansas City Chiefs $4.30 are still high on the rankings as they hope to get to their third straight Super Bowl and 5th final in 6 years.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers $29.00 and Los Angeles Rams $34.00 are both teams that many will fear in the finals and are good value if you are looking for some long shots in the NFC.

It is hard seeing anyone except the aforementioned Chiefs, Buffalo Bills $7.00 & Baltimore Ravens $7.00 making it to the conference final in the AFC.

Week 17

Detroit Lions $4.70 took their first win in San Francisco since 1975 to set up a Week 18 clash with the Minnesota Vikings $10.00 for the 1 seed in the NFC.

Green Bay Packers $16.00 look like the pick of the bunch that are over the $15 range with stars healthy and an overall top level class of players. Getting Kansas City Chiefs $4.40 seems like a steal given their pedigree.

Week 16

Another week of significant movement as the Kansas City Chiefs $4.50 reclaim top spot in the rankings. Philadelphia Eagles $7.50 are tied for 4th but will enter the play-offs as winners of the NFC East.

The LA Rams $34 & LA Chargers $51 are outside chances.

Week 15

Now we are talking! There has been significant movement all through this list over the weekend. The Buffalo Bills $4.80 move to the top of the list following their win over the Detroit Lions $6.75 who have fallen from 1st to 4th in the odds market.

The LA Rams $34.00 have taken over as leaders of the NFC West which sees them enter the fray but they don't seem to have much backing at that price. LA Chargers $67.00 have fallen completely off this list but still retain an 87% chance of playoffs, anything can happen after that!

Week 14

The Chiefs $5.70 get away with another tight win and the Bills $6.25 take a heavy loss to the Rams $61 who aren't quite out of the picture just yet. Cincinnati $26.00 have only a 3% chance of making the playoffs but sit ahead of both the Chargers $38 and the Broncos $54 in the rankings.

The Washington Commanders $71 have a couple of tough games to close out the season but are in my eyes a dark horse in the NFC.

Week 13

Another fantastic week of NFL and now the regular season finish line is within sight with week 14 the last week where teams have byes.

Kansas City $6.00 have continued to drop and now sit 3rd behind Buffalo $7.25 following their dominant win in the snow over the 49ers, ending their season. Philly $6.50 skip up with an important win over Baltimore $11.00 who now will most likely be going in as a wild-card to the play-offs.

Pittsburgh $21.00 have had a dramatic drop in odds but are still very juicy at that number.

Week 12

Both Detroit $4.30 and Kansas $5.00 have shortened with bookies seemingly looking at provisional first round play-off matchups rather than week to week results. Philadelphia $7.75 continue to climb as they look to come out of a weaker NFC conference.

San Francisco $51.00 are completely out of the race with their loss to Green Bay $15.00 who have moved up thanks to the win. Interestingly enough the Steelers $34.00 are still outsiders but do have a number of divisional games to play.

Week 11

We finally saw the Kansas City Chiefs $5.20 get beaten and it was the Buffalo Bills $7.00 who got the job done. The Chiefs now are ranked 2nd on the odds table with the Bills moving up to 3rd still probably needing to go through the Chiefs and Mahomes if they are to make the Superbowl.

Detroit Lions $4.80 are the new favourites with the NFC comparitavely weaker especially after the San Francisco 49ers $13.00 loss at the weekend. Philadelphia Eagles $9.00 are the next best ranked team from that Conference.

Week 10

It is getting monotonous to keep writing that the Chiefs are undefeated, but they keep winning! Nothing has changed at the top save for a few adjustments in the numbers. Buffalo are still ranked 4th at $9.00, if they beat the Chiefs this weekend that number is sure to drop.

Pittsburgh have finally broken through the $30 barrier with Russell Wilson getting warm in his new threads. They are $26 following the win against the Commanders last weekend.

The Miami Dolphins are $111 mainly due to the difficulty of them getting out of the AFC East but it is not impossible given they have the 11th easiest remaining strength of schedule.

Week 9

Another week, another line about the Chiefs being undefeated. They got themselves out of jail again against Tampa on Monday night football and realistically have only 1 tough opponent remaining on their schedule in the Bills. Could they go all the way without dropping a game?

Detroit, Baltimore, Buffalo and San Fran are all jostling for spots in the rankings behind KC with Houston falling well back in the list as bettors start to lose faith in the offence.

The Commanders enter the top 11 for the first time this year with their 7-2 record and you still can get Pittsburgh for $34

Week 8

The Chiefs remain undefeated but the feeling is that it is edging closer to that inevitable loss. The Vikings have now dropped two on the trot as they fall further down the rankings.

Pittsburgh have entered the top 10 for the first time but are still priced at $29.00 despite their 6-2 record as leaders of the AFC North. The Ravens in the same division remain second in the rankings at $7.50 despite picking up their second loss of the season at the weekend.

Detroit are still undervalued and with McCaffrey only weeks away from re-joining the 49ers they are priming for a run to the playoffs.

Week 7

Another week and another Kansas City Chiefs victory. The Chiefs dismantled the 49ers in the Superbowl LVIII rematch on Monday which saw the champions shorten and the runners up lengthen considerably out to $10.00. The Baltimore Ravens are the next best placed team coming in at $6.50 whilst the Detroit Lions are the highest ranked NFC team at $8.25.

The Miami Dolphins have shot back up the rankings on news QB Tua Tagovailoa will return to play with Pittsburgh sitting on $34 with a 5-2 record.

Week 6

The Green Bay Packers are the biggest movers of the top 10 this week following their comprehensive win over the Arizona Cardinals at the weekend. Both Minnesota and Kansas City had the bye which didn't affect the Chiefs, the Vikings on the other hand have amazingly pushed out further in the rankings with Buffalo leapfrogging them after their big win in Week 6.

With the NFC even across the board it is still possible to get on the Commanders and the Buccaneers at $41!

Week 5

The Vikings and Chiefs are still undefeated with both teams shortening in the odds following their week 5 victories. Minnesota has gone from $17 down to $12 and with both undefeated teams on the bye this week there probably won't be much movement there.

The top 7 teams have jostled around but there has been no major movements. The Atlanta Falcons have entered the top 10 for the first time being priced at $29 with their 3-2 record leading the NFC South. If you believe in Washington they are still at $31, considering how other teams have moved when they are on win streaks you need to get behind them now!

Week 4

Two teams made it through week 4 undefeated, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have gone from $29 last week to $17 this week with the Chiefs actually moving out a touch to $6.

The Ravens have taken a leap from $12 last week up to $8.50 following their dramatic win over the Bills and are now third favourites to win the title. Philly and Dallas have both fallen down the odds with the Cowboys pushing all the way out to $31, the biggest odds for them so far this year.

Week 3

Week 3 threw up some more drama at us with another crop of underdogs getting the win. But as we get further on through the season and numbers start to average out we will see fewer big swings in these numbers. Take for example the San Francisco 49ers who are now 1-2 on the season, their number pushed out from $6.50 to $6.75 this week while Philadelphia beat the 2-0 Saints but still fell by a whole dollar from $11 to $12. Buffalo are the biggest movers up this week shortening from $13 to $9.50.

The Bengals have fallen completely out of favour going from $21 to $34 with their 0-3 record whilst the Washington Commanders have shortened dramatically to $81 from near the bottom of the table following the success of rookie QB Jayden Daniels

Week 2

9 Teams remain undefeated after two games of the 24-25 season. Of those 9 teams it is the New Orleans Saints that have shown the most movement from last week coming in to $26 following on from some exceptional scoring efforts in their first two games. Philly stay in 3rd despite a last minute loss to the Falcons on MNF while the Texans tighten just a little as they secured their second win.

Miami have fallen completely out of contention following QB Tua Tagovailoa's concussion, they now sit at $44. The Bookies though won't be faked by a Steelers team who lead their division with 2 wins and 0 losses despite only having scored 1 touchdown across 8 quarters of football. They still sit at $34 and offer great value if the Superbowl was tomorrow.

Week 1

Following Week 1 of the NFL there is already some movement in the Superbowl Odds with Kansas City moving to outright favourites. San Francisco hold onto 2nd spot with Philly making a big jump up to 3rd favourites despite a shaky win over Green Bay in Brazil.

Buffalo, Baltimore and Cincinatti have all pushed further out despite the Bills winning their game against the Cardinals. Houston, Dallas and Detroit have all firmed somewhat after clinical displays in Week 1.

Pre-Season

The San Francisco 49ers were downed in the Super Bowl in 2024 in dramatic circumstances to make it yet another near miss for this supremely talented side. They opened for the new season as the $6.00 favourites ahead of double-reigning champions the Chiefs ($8.00) but both teams have now met at the $6.50 mark.

The Baltimore Ravens ($10.00) are next in line with many predicting Lamar Jackson to continue his form of last season. Next up is a trio of teams that have been there or there abouts over the past two years, Buffalo Bills ($13.00), Detroit Lions ($13.00) and Cincinnati Bengals ($13.00).

The current major outsiders are the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots (both $151.00) and the Carolina Panthers ($251.00).

The 2023/24 NFL season was one to remember, with huge hits, stunning touchdowns and major shocks adorning one of the most exciting seasons to date. In the end, it was left to the reigning champions the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers to battle in Super Bowl LVIII.

While the Niners arrived as slight favourites, it was the Chiefs that came out on top as they secured a 25-22 triumph in over-time to crush the dreams of their opponents and make it two in a row.

Now, the Chiefs will be looking to secure their third Super Bowl triumph in as many season in 2025, while the Niners and the rest of the competition look to stop them from creating a true dynasty on the field.

Which side do you think will win Super Bowl LIX? Will the Kansas City Chiefs win a third in a row, can the Niners go one better in 2025, or will another side lift the trophy at Super Bowl LIX?
