The boxing world is gearing up for an intriguing match as Anthony Joshua faces Jake Paul. Despite Paul's promising boxing career, Joshua's experience and finishing power are expected to be decisive. Joshua's record of 28 wins and 25 knockouts, many within the first few rounds, underscores his ability to end fights swiftly. Paul’s leap from facing MMA veterans to a heavyweight champion signifies a challenging transition. Betting tips recommend backing Joshua for a knockout within the first two rounds. The significant skill gap suggests anything other than a Joshua victory would be a major surprise.

Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Tips & Predictions

Anthony Joshua is expected to make short work of Jake Paul when the pair meet in Miami and all signs point toward a quick, heavy-handed victory for the former unified heavyweight champion.

Joshua may no longer be at the peak of his powers, but when he applies himself, the difference in class is enormous. We saw that ruthlessness against Francis Ngannou earlier this year - and if he carries the same intent into this fight, Paul could be in serious trouble within minutes.

Fight Analysis

Joshua’s record speaks for itself: 28 wins from 32 fights, 25 coming by knockout, and 17 of those inside the first three rounds. He hits harder, moves better, and has operated at a level  Paul has never come close to experiencing. Paul's boxing improvements deserve acknowledgment and his 12-1 record includes respectable wins over combat sports veterans, but he has never faced an elite heavyweight with genuine finishing instinct. Against a man who has knocked out Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte, the challenge jumps from steep to almost impossible.

Paul has built his career on pressure, confidence and controlled matchups, but the jump from former MMA champions and aging legends to Anthony Joshua is a leap into a completely different universe.

Joshua understands distance, timing and knockout opportunities in ways Paul has never encountered.

One mistake - a lazy jab or slow exit - could be enough. Paul may try to survive early and move around the ring, but with Joshua’s size and experience, rounds one and two are exactly where the danger peaks.

This matchup feels less like a 50/50 fight and more like a test of how long Paul can stay upright. Joshua’s power is still elite, even as he progresses into the later stages of his career, and as the old saying goes: power is the last thing to fade. Once AJ finds his rhythm, this could get violent very quickly.

Best Bets To Be Backing

  • Joshua by KO/TKO/DQ/TD

Joshua remains one of the sport’s most efficient finishers. Paul has never been hit by true heavyweight power, and Joshua won’t need many clean connections to end this fight. The class gap is simply too wide.

  • Joshua to Win in Round 1 or 2

With 17 early finishes inside three rounds, AJ is historically a fast starter when facing overmatched opponents. If he treats Paul with the same urgency he showed against Ngannou and Otto Wallin, this could be over almost immediately.

Verdict

Paul is out of his depth here - anything other than a swift and dominant Joshua win would be a massive surprise.
