Joshua may no longer be at the peak of his powers, but when he applies himself, the difference in class is enormous. We saw that ruthlessness against Francis Ngannou earlier this year - and if he carries the same intent into this fight, Paul could be in serious trouble within minutes.

Joshua’s record speaks for itself: 28 wins from 32 fights, 25 coming by knockout, and 17 of those inside the first three rounds. He hits harder, moves better, and has operated at a level Paul has never come close to experiencing. Paul's boxing improvements deserve acknowledgment and his 12-1 record includes respectable wins over combat sports veterans, but he has never faced an elite heavyweight with genuine finishing instinct. Against a man who has knocked out Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and Dillian Whyte, the challenge jumps from steep to almost impossible.

Paul has built his career on pressure, confidence and controlled matchups, but the jump from former MMA champions and aging legends to Anthony Joshua is a leap into a completely different universe.

Joshua understands distance, timing and knockout opportunities in ways Paul has never encountered.

One mistake - a lazy jab or slow exit - could be enough. Paul may try to survive early and move around the ring, but with Joshua’s size and experience, rounds one and two are exactly where the danger peaks.

This matchup feels less like a 50/50 fight and more like a test of how long Paul can stay upright.
