After one of the greatest title fights in the history of the competition, Napoli secured the 2024/25 Serie A title by a single point over great rival Juventus.
The pair could barely be separated, but Inter's fifth loss of the season was what cost them as Napoli used the momentum and proved impossible to stop. Their stunning run saw them go from finishing 10th in the 2023/24 season, 41 points short of Inter at the summit, to champions.
Meanwhile, Inter missed out on the chance to go back-to-back in the league. They were also humiliated in a 5-0 loss to PSG in the Champions League final, capping off a woeful few days for the Italian giants.
This season, Napoli and Inter Milan are expected to be right up there when it comes to winning the title. Other contenders include Juventus and AC Milan, with Roma leading the charge for the rest of the field. However, it seems unlikely that any side away from the top four will win the title.
