Townsville Tips for March 11

Pay it Forward in March Maiden Handicap Tips (Race 2)

Townsville Value Bet - Race 2 No. 10 Muzanboal Rouge

This gelding is working into form after a good third-up performance at Townsville when only just beaten in a nice Maiden.

That was on a soft rated track which he will likely strike again which is a positive, knowing that he does handle the ground.

Now up to the mile after solid runs where he hit the line well, this should be his perfect trip and the race where he is ready to peak at a nice price.

Townsville Best Bet - Race 3 No. 1 War Singa

Off the back of two strong placings at Cairns, both by under a length, this three-year-old is ready to breakthrough in what looks a pretty poor Maiden on paper.

Krysten Swaffer has ridden her at both career outings, so she has a good affiliation with the filly, and with natural gate speed as she has shown at her first two starts, that should be able to offset barrier nine.

Both starts have been on heavy tracks and the daughter of Warhead does look as if she will improve on slightly firmer ground which she gets here.

Sky Racing Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Townsville Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Beau Jet

This gelding finished off last campaign in tremendous form winning three of his last four outings, all at this Townsville.

First-up, he has produced good form, with eight starts for four wins and three placings, along with 18 starts overall on this circuit which have netted seven wins and five placings.

Although he is a much effective galloper on top of the ground, he has won and placed twice on the soft ground before, so I am confident that he can still get the job done with the strong record behind him.
