The step up in class should prove no issue with the gelding having been narrowly beaten in a similar race to this when runner-up here last October.
Daniel Stackhouse, on board last time out, is a positive jockey booking once more and he should prove capable of overcoming a wide draw on the Ben & JD Hayes-trained pick.

Racing from behind the speed that day, he confirmed that promise when breaking his maiden upped to 1457m at Kilmore the following month.
While that race has failed to produce any subsequent winners, the gelding won with something in hand that day and recorded a solid effort on his only subsequent outing.
That first start against previous winners came in a metro event at Sandown Lakeside at the start of March when registering a fifth-place finish in a small field 1400m Benchmark 64 event.
The gelding should have no issues with the drop in trip and the decision to head here rather than back to Sandown Lakeside on Wednesday can pay dividends with a first-up victory.

The four-year-old was the subject of a steward's enquiry when ridden from off the pace having previously raced close to the speed last time out and the change of running style appeared to be no issue for the gelding with the selection finishing strongly to deliver a narrow victory in the 1000m Benchmark 64 handicap.
While that effort came on a heavy 9 track it’s of note that the pick performed adequately on his only previous start at this venue back in August last year.
While a wide draw is far from ideal here, it shouldn’t inconvenience too much given the son of Zoustar’s tactical versatility.
Highly promising apprentice Dakotah Keane, on board last time out is again in the saddle here and the pair look like value to salute for the second time together.
