Gosford Tips October 6

The Agency Maiden Plate Tips (Race 2)

Gosford Best Bet - Race 2 No. 5 Domingo

With the blinkers on third-up following two eye-catching runs to start this second campaign, this gelding is well placed to breakthrough.

Brenton Avdulla now takes the reins on Domingo, who likely wins his last start at Newcastle from a better gate, which was on a Heavy 9.

In a 1900m maiden that only has a few chances, this three-year-old has the better wet track form and a good gate, so he gets the nod.

Form Construction Group Maiden Handicap Tips (Race 6)

Gosford Next Best Bet - Race 6 No. 11 Secaution

Although she was big odds on debut, Secaution should find this much easier back to the provincials at start two after that metro attempt.

It was a slashing run by the daughter of Sebring and of the exposed form in this line-up, that Warwick Farm run does stand out.

This is a different scenario now on testing ground, but she's bred to swim and only needs to hold her form to get on the board here.

Gosford Value Bet - Race 7 No. 4 Abuela

This four-year-old has ability, but after a 1300m Midway flop second-up, it's clear that's she's never going to settle enough to run 1300m+.

Abuela will now be kept to sprint trips and has been freshened-up ahead of the return on her home track, where she's down in grade.

She was beaten half a length first-up behind Stromboli, who won a BM72 on Monday and that form is certainly good enough for this.
