Although the most recent synthetic hit-out was solid, Charities was workmanlike in that July 12 hit-out and her prior piece of work on the turf at Penhurst was much stronger.

She landed straight on the speed in the June 14 heat and recorded a soft win over the 800m dash, while the engagement of Dean Yendall here is a good lead for the OTI runner.

Trainer Paul Preusker has spaced this second prep out with Early Warning, a filly that kept coming at Warracknabeal last start when stepping up to 1600m for the first time.

This stable often get it right when stepping these lightly raced types up to a staying trip, as has been evident with the recent success of Torranzino, who has thrived over 2000m.

That June 30 event has already produced a subsequent winner and Early Warning had plenty to do in that last attempt, with gate three now at Ryan Houston's disposal.

If there's a runner that is ideally suited by a wide barrier over 1000m in a small field then it's All About Eve, a sprinter that'll settle off them and use her turn-of-foot late.

The four-year-old is down in class from a metro BM84 at Caulfield where she rattled home for second behind an in-form Viviane, who made it back-to-back victories there.

While she only has three wins to her name from 15 starts, this mare has won her last two attempts at country level, with her latest coming in this grade over spring.

Admittedly, she didn't beat much when breaking the maiden last start at Warracknabeal, albeit it was a handy confidence booster and her prior form is quite strong.

Trak Chiller failed to settle two back when midfield behind So Sleek, who was Sat placed at her next start and on May 19, she was just out-sprinted by Frankly Elegant.

That runner also placed at metro level via her last effort and in April, this filly placed behind Moor Mumm, who arrived there off a third to Brung King (two-time metro winner).
