Global Turf Maiden Plate Tips (Race 3)
Ballarat Synthetic Roughie - Race 3 No. 3 Dame Cheval
It’s not unfair to say that the filly has shown little in her four starts on turf since delivering a second-place finish at this venue back in October.
However, it’s notable that the course and distance effort, when beaten one-and-a-half-lengths is her best effort to date and came when being ridden from off the pace in a small field event.
Eased to get a run near the 200m mark on that occasion, she chased home Pacific Emperor, who has gone on to register a victory in Singapore subsequently.
The daughter of Toronado has the benefit of two outings on turf this time around, while the booking of top Indian jockey Suraj Narredu takes the eye.

Ballarat Synthetic Best Bet - Race 5 No. 1 Eight Shout’s
The three-year-old was gelded prior to making his debut in a ten-runner 1400m maiden at this venue earlier this month.
Racing behind the speed having jumped at big odds on that occasion, Eight Shout's finished strongly up the rail to be roughly a length clear of his nearest pursuer.
Trained by Tom Dabernig, the son of Holler was tackling more experienced rivals on that occasion he's expected to have improved for that debut effort.
Brad Rawiller’s mount will jump from barrier three here and he looks capable of successfully conceding weight to his rivals.

Ballarat Synthetic Value Bet - Race 6 No. 1 Sold Tha Car
Julie Scott’s gelding has shown a liking for this venue in the past, winning three of his six starts here and those efforts included two victories in 2022, while he placed in two other starts here that year.
Freshened since a seventh in a Benchmark 70 event at Geelong last month, the gelding appeared to find the return to this track/trip to his liking when saluting here last time out.
The seven-year-old tackled a Benchmark 58 event on that occasion, but has proven that he can be competitive at a higher level in the past.
Promising apprentice, Jaylah Kennedy, is again in the saddle here and the pair are taken to register a second win together.
