Baskonia Form & Team News
Baskonia are 0-4 in the EuroLeague, the only team yet to register a win. Despite the poor record, their performances haven’t been disastrous, they pushed Olympiacos and Panathinaikos to the final minutes at home.
Their road games have been tougher, especially the recent collapse against Paris after staying close for three quarters.
They did manage a huge domestic win, coming back to beat Real Madrid in Liga Endesa, but quickly lost momentum with a road defeat to Zaragoza. That leaves them at 1–5 across all competitions and still searching for consistency.
Luwawu-Cabarrot, Diallo, and Samanic have been standouts, but injuries are piling up. Diallo and Trent Forrest both went down in the Paris game, while Markus Howard is still off his game and nursing an ankle issue.
Coach Paolo Galbiati is under early pressure. Baskonia is known for quick decisions when results don’t come, and another loss could raise serious questions about his future.
Partizan Form & Team News
Partizan holda a 2-2 record in the EuroLeague, with wins over Milan (80-78) and Anadolu Efes (93-87), and losses to Dubai in the opener and Real Madrid most recently (86-93).
Under Zeljko Obradovic's leadership, the team is showing steady improvement, especially on the defensive end and in collective execution. There's a growing sense of cohesion with each game.
On the domestic front, Partizan is in strong form and among the frontrunners in the ABA League. The roster looks deep and well-balanced, with minutes carefully managed across the board.
Players like Carlik Jones and Sterling Brown have added control and grit, while Finnish prospect Miikka Muurinen is still adjusting to the pace and level of play.
Coach Obradovic continues to emphasize focus and execution, particularly in high-pressure situations. Injuries haven’t been a major issue, and the team is expected to be nearly full strength ahead of the clash with Baskonia.
One of the main challenges remains consistency on the road, where performances have been more up and down.
Overall, Partizan has found a solid rhythm early in the season, blending experience and youth with a clear tactical identity. With ambitions to make a deeper EuroLeague run this year, games like this one in Vitoria will be key in setting the tone for what's to come.
Head to Head
Last season, both teams won one game each in the regular season, with both victories coming on their home courts.
Verdict
Partizan arrivea in Vitoria with more momentum, but Baskonia rarely goes down without a fight at home. Expect a tough, tight game that could swing either way, but the home crowd and the urgency for a win might just push Baskonia over the line.
As for individual impact, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot looks most ready to step up. He’s playing with energy, taking the big shots, and will likely be the go-to option in Baskonia’s offense once again.
