It's been an incredible tournament for Raducanu - for context, the only other time the Brit has won four tour-level matches in a row was when she stunned the world and claimed the 2021 US Open title from qualifying. It's been a horror show with injuries over the last three years, but Raducanu finally looks fit and ready to take that next step in her career - and I think she can register the upset in the 305.

Raducanu is back working with Mark Petchey, who was a key figure in guiding her to that aforementioned US Open title three years ago. Petchey is regarded as one of the smartest minds in tennis, so it's no surprise to see some immediate improvement in Miami. Pegula will obviously be an extremely tough opponent - the American has made the Miami quarter-finals in her last three appearances and comes into this clash having won 10 of her last 11 matches - but only one of those wins was over a top 30 opponent.

I'm backing Raducanu to cover, with a smaller stake on the Brit to prevail in three.

Currently level at 1-1. Pegula won their first meeting at Cincinnati in 2022 before Raducanu got her revenge with a thrilling 4-6 7-6 7-5 victory in Eastbourne last year.

Pegula comes into this contest with a 18-5 record on the season.

The American started the year in promising fashion with a runner-up finish in Adelaide, but she would have been disappointed with a third round exit at the Australian Open against the unseeded Olga Danilovic.

Pegula didn't make much of an impact in the Middle East swing, losing to Ekaterina Alexandrova in Dubai and Linda Noskova in Doha, but she bounced back strongly by taking the title at the WTA 500 event in Austin, defeating McCartney Kessler in the final.

The 31-year-old was knocked out in the R16 of Indian Wells by Elina Svitolina, but has returned to some good form in Miami, beating Bernarda Pera, Anna Kalinskaya and Marta Kostyuk to reach the quarter-finals for the third straight year.

Raducanu arrives at this showdown with a 7-6 record on the season, with four of those wins coming this tournament in Miami.

The former World No. 10 had an encouraging start to the season when she made the third round of the Australian Open, losing to Iga Swiatek.

However, Raducanu proceeded to lose five of her next six matches before arriving in Miami, where she could potentially be turning her season around.

The 22-year-old has defeated two top 20 players in the same tournament for just the second time in her career, conquering Emma Navarro in three sets in the opening round before taking out Amanda Anisimova 6-1 6-3 in the R16.

Raducanu has now won 24 of her last 29 games and her form is starting to mirror that of her stunning run to the 2022 US Open title from out of nowhere - could lightning strike twice in Miami?

Jessica Pegula v Emma Raducanu

The only other time Raducanu won four matches in a row, she captured the US Open title.

Definitely not saying she's going all the way, but the Brit is looking like she's back to her best tennis in Miami. I haven't been convinced with Pegula's form all year, so Raducanu offers value as the underdog here.
