- Perth Glory Form
Perth Glory picked up the wooden spoon in the A-League, but did end the season with two wins in their last three games. They offer some value to defeat Central Coast Mariners, who ended the campaign with three defeats in four games.
- Central Coast Mariners have lost 3 of their last 4 matches
- Perth Glory have won 2 of their last 3 matches
Head To Head
These two teams met three times in the A-League this season. The first two meetings ended in draws before the Mariners won 3-1 most recently in March.
Central Coast Mariners Form
The Central Coast Mariners had a nightmare title defence in the A-League, finished 10th and missing out on the finals.
The Mariners won just one of their last 15 games with the solitary victory come again against last-placed Perth at the end of March.
Central Coast subsequently picked up just one point in their final four games, that coming in a 2-2 draw against Macarthur.
They also lost 1-0 to Melbourne City, 6-0 to rivals Newcastle Jets in a horror show and signed off with another disppointing loss, this time to Brisbane Roar 2-1.
Perth Glory Form
Perth Glory picked up a second straight wooden spoon in the A-League after a nightmare season.
Perth won just four games all season, but two of them game in the final three matches of the season to end on something of a positive.
David Zdrillic's side beaten Adelaide United 4-1 at home and Wellington Phoenix 2-0 on the road in their final away game.
Sandwiched inbetween, Glory did lost 1-0 to Auckland but were competitive against the minor premiers.
Verdict
Mariners ended the season in disappointing fashion and I'm willing to take a chance on Glory, who won two of their final three games.
