The Western Australian State Election will take place on March 8, 2025, with Labor looking to secure another term in office.

Ahead of the election, Labor arrive at $1.00 with bookmaker Elitebet, with the party the overwhelming favourites heading into the last few days of the race.

Odds

Any Other Party$51.00

The Labor Party are the favourites to win the 2025 Western Australian State Election at $1.00 with Elitebet. The Coalition is available at $23.00, while Any Other Party can be backed at $51.00.

Scheduled to take place on March 8, 2025, the WA State Election will see Roger Cook leading his Labor Party against Shane Love of the National Party and Libby Mettam of the Liberal Party.

In 2021, Mark McGowan secured 53 seats as Labor bettered their performance in 2017 by notching a further 13 seats. Meanwhile, Mia Davies of the National Party saw their share of seats slip by two, with the party only securing four seats. The Liberals secured two seats after losing 11 seats.

The bookmakers clearly make this one something of a foregone conclusion. Labor are as good as the winners according to the odds, with the Coalition drifting out to $23.00. The big outsider is any other party winning the election.

With so little time between now and the election, this one seems like it will be won by Labor. While the odds are not always correct, the second favourite sitting at $23.00 simply means that there would need to be an enormous shift for things to change.

Winning in 2025 would see Labor secure a third-consecutive term in office. The Liberal government, fronted by Colin Barnett, was the last non-Labor party to secure power in Western Australia. However, the Liberals have been well short of Labor in both 2017 and 2021, securing 13 and two seats respectively. They need another 27 seats in this election if they are to secure power.

Which party do you think will secure power in 2025? Will Labor win once again, or will another party secure the most seats?
