The Eagles looked good in Week 1 without doing anything unexpected. The offence was quiet and the defence held up ok. The same can’t be said for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes looked unbelievable, but that is about it. The Kansas defence got shredded for over 400 yards total offence by the Chargers.
With Xavier Worthy out and no established receiver besides Travis Kelce, I am not sure where the points will come from for the Chiefs. I don’t see them keeping up with what the Eagles offence can produce in the air or on the ground with Saquon Barkley.

The reigning Super Bowl Champions looked good without being impressive in their Week 1 24-20 victory over divisional rivals Dallas on banner raising day. Plenty of pressure on the Eagles to perform in the opening match after winning the big show and they survived.
The offensive game plan by Nick Sirriani was simple, play short. Jalen Hurts threw for just 152 yards which included a 51-yard reception from Jahan Dotson. Tight-end Dallas Goedart (7 Targets) and Saquon Barkley (5 Targets) was where all the action was with the Eagles two main wide receivers Devonta Smith and A.J Brown combining for just 4 targets.
The Eagles defence could do nothing to stop CeeDee Lamb who had 110 yards from 7 receptions and even struggled against the run game allowing 119 yards rushing by Dallas.

Xavier Worthy was injured in a collision with Travis Kelce on the third play of the game and is a huge loss for the Chiefs, who are already missing Rasheed Rice for the first 6 games of the season. Hollywood Brown was Mahomes No.1 target, being fired at 16 times in the match for 10 receptions and 99 yards.
The Kansas defence gave up some serious yardage to the Chargers, Justin Herbert threw for 318 yards and 3 touchdowns while L.A rushed for a combined 90 yards.
It is worrying signs for K.C no matter how much everyone is rating the Chargers offence this season under Jim Harbaugh.
