The Perth Wildcats and Sydney Kings will clash in the NBL25 Round 12. With Perth's home advantage and Sydney's recent losing streak, the odds slightly favor the Wildcats. Interestingly, Perth's defense has been solid, keeping top opponents to an average of 92.3 points per game. The recommendation leans towards Perth winning and covering, with the game total going under, alongside a player prop for Kristian Doolittle to secure 10+ rebounds. With tight stats, the matchup remains unpredictable but edges towards a Perth win.

Perth Wildcats vs Sydney Kings NBL25 Round 12 Expert Tips

Two evenly matched opponents will face off in the second Friday night matchup in the NBL Round 12 slate. Perth are the favourites due to their home court advantage and Sydney’s recent losing streak but it is difficult to split the two.

The Wildcats are in the midst of a big home stand where they play 6 of 8 games in Perth over a 5 week stretch. They are 3-1 at RAC so far in this span, the single loss a one point meltdown to the 36ers last start. They will no doubt still take momentum from that game despite the loss, for 3 quarters they were the more dominant team.

Sydney have been plugging along this season but have also played the fewest games of any team in the league. They are 4-4 on the road, have lost two straight and despite being ranked 2nd in opposition scoring have still allowed multiple 90+ games to opponents this year.

This one will likely come down to which team will be able to get stops. They are very evenly matched statistically but there is a slight advantage to Perth’s defence. The Wildcats have played 3 straight games against top 2 opponents and kept their scoring average to just 92.3 pts per game. Sydney will have a lot tougher time scoring on Friday.

In general I would stay away from a side in this one just given the tightness in the matchup but if i need to pick i would take Perth at home to win and cover. Take the total Under as well as Sydney’s team total Under. Kristian Doolittle to get 10+ boards is a top player prop.

  • 3 of the last 4 meetings between these teams have gone Under the Game Total.
  • Perth has won 20 of its last 25 games against Sydney at RAC Arena.
  • Sydney have stayed under 88.5pts at RAC Arena in 3 of their last 4 games there.
  • Doolittle has had 9+ boards in 6 of his last 7 games and had 10 vs Sydney earlier in the year.

Perth Wildcats Form & Team News

The Wildcats fans endured some mighty highs and lows last weekend. A 96-84 win over Melbourne United in their back to back series last Thursday had the team pumped to take on the returning Bryce Cotton and Adelaide 36ers at RAC.

Perth dominated the proceedings leading 78-60 at 3 qtr time before an amazing collapse allowed their opponents and Perth golden child Bryce Cotton to steal the game 95-94. Kristian Doolittle scored 17 pts and had 11 rebounds together with 6 assists in one of his better games of the season while 3 other starters all scored in double digits.

They even kept Bryce to just 21 pts on the other end but were dominated under the rim by Isaac Humphries who connected on 13 of 15 shots from 2pt range. They are still the number 3 ranked scoring defence and have allowed just 1 game of 100+ points from their opponent.

Sydney Kings Form & Team News

Sydney are on a 2 game slide after back to back losses on the road in rounds 10 and 11. First to the JackJumpers 104-81 in Tassie then 95-90 to the Breakers in Hamilton.

The losses broke a 4 game win streak and was only the second time this season the team has suffered 2 losses in a row. Kendric Davis is leading the scoring for the Kings with 22.1 pts per game but managed just 18 against the Breakers. His 11 assists though, the highest number of the season for the star import.

The Kings were unable to stop the barrage from distance as they allowed their opponent to shoot 44.1% from beyond the arc, something that has plagued them all season long. They rank 7th in the league in opponent 3pt% as well as being 7th in their own 3pt%.
