In the NBL25 Round 12 matchup, the resilient Perth Wildcats are expected to capitalize on the Brisbane Bullets' recent struggles, as Brisbane faces a challenging season with five consecutive losses. While Perth adjusts its defense following a significant defeat against the Kings, Brisbane aims to enhance team dynamics with new additions like Terry Taylor and returning players. Despite these efforts, Perth's formidable defensive record suggests they are favored to emerge victorious, adding to Brisbane's misfortunes.

Brisbane Bullets vs Perth Wildcats NBL25 Round 12 Expert Tips

The Wildcats will make no mistake against the Bullets adding more misery to the home team’s season with Brisbane predicted to drop their sixth in a row.

The Cats were on the wrong side of a belting against the Kings on Friday and John Rillie will make sure that his team tighten right up against the Bullets, who are a little unpredictable at the moment with all of their late roster changes.

Perth gave up the second-most points this season to the Kings but will right their wrongs against the Bullets on Sunday. Brisbane have potential with the addition on Terry Taylor and the return of Javon Freeman-Liberty, but the combinations and chemistry will take some time to evolve.

Expect Perth to put on a better defensive performance here and cover as the away favourite.

  • Brisbane have lost 5 straight games with 4 of them being by 15 points or more.
  • Perth ranks third in the NBL with an average of 87.1 points against per game.
  • Brisbane rank 9th in the NBL giving up 96.0 points per game.
  • Perth have won 2 of their last 3 games in Brisbane.

Brisbane Bullets Form & Team News

The Bullets' struggles have continued in Round 12 with their injury riddled season getting the best of them as they dropped five in a row after their Thursday night loss to the Illawarra Hawks 100-85.

Brisbane were in the match up until the fourth quarter, going into the break just 3 points down, however, Illawarra put their foot on the gas with their highest scoring quarter and Bullets couldn’t keep up.

Brisbane’s offence continues to struggle since the injury to Casey Prather, scoring 85 points or less in 6 of their last 7 games. The positive, if there is one, is that the return of Javon Freeman-Liberty was a success, scoring 13 points in 20 minutes on the court, while new recruit Terry Taylor also put up 18 points in his second run in the Bullets singlet.

Perth Wildcats Form & Team News

Perth had no answer for a Kendric Davis onslaught from downtown, going down to the Kings by 31 points on Friday night. The Kings import couldn't be stopped from the outside hitting 7 of 13, while the Wildcats couldn't find their way inside.

Kristian Doolittle has owned this team this season but was held to just 5 points against the Kings, while Jo Lual-Acual was also contained for just 9 points. Perth were forced to play from the outside with the defence of the Kings to strong inside with the Cats shooting at just 34.88% from inside the three-point line.

It was unfamiliar territory for the Wildcats who have been the toughest team to shoot against in NBL26 with an opposition field goal percentage of just 42.8%, giving up the third-least amount of points to their opponents at 87.1 per game heading into Round 12.

Verdict

Perth will cover the line and Brisbane will score less than 89.5 points.
