Brisbane Bullets vs Perth Wildcats Frequently Asked Questions

Perth are fighting for consistency in their season and will have ample opportunity to kickoff 2026 with a victory and turn a page when the clock strikes 12. Brisbane has been a place where they have had recent success, winning 3 of their last 4 matches in the Queensland capital.

Brisbane have made some improvements since Darryl Mcdonald took over as coach, but how they respond to their 24-point loss to Sydney on Tuesday will be a real telling tale.

The Bullets had no balance in their defence against the Kings giving up their season average of 95 points in their loss. The Perth offence hasn’t been as sharp as the Kings, however with Kristian Doolittle fully fit and becoming the centre of their ball movement again over the last two games, they have looked more creative.

Expect Doolittle to have another strong performance and get plenty of usage with free range to shoot. Elijah Peppar has also been another Wildcat to put his hand up in this rough period for the Cats and will score in the double-digits again.

Perth beat Brisbane by 24 points back in Round 12
Perth have covered the line in 3 of their last 4 games against the Bullets in Brisbane
Kristian Doolittle has had an average of 18.5 field goal attempts in his last 2 games.
Elijah Peppar has had 10+ points in 4 consecutive games.

Brisbane Bullets Form & Team News

After a very short burst of form where Brisbane got their first win in 8 matches against New Zealand, followed by pushing Melbourne United to the final buzzer, the Bullets came crashing back down to reality with a heavy 95-70 loss to the league’s most in-form team the Sydney Kings.

Tuesday’s loss was their ninth in their last 10 matches and it was once again their offence for the most part that cost them. The Bullets were forced to take 33 three point attempts and actually sank them at a respectable 30.3%, however it was the inside game that let them down dropping just 13 from 33 from 2-point range.

Mitch Norton had one of his better games of the season with 15 points and 6 assists but it wasn’t enough for the Bullets.

Perth Wildcats Form & Team News

The Wildcats are going through an inconsistent period of their season, unable to string consecutive wins together since the middle of November, winning just 3 of their last 8 games.

Their latest was 95-84 defeat in Adelaide, where the rivalry against Bryce Cotton ignited as the former Wildcat dropped 36 points on them in a third quarter masterclass where Perth were outscored 29-9 to head into the final quarter down 17 after leading by 3 at the half.

Since the departure of Cotton Perth’s scoring has obviously taken its biggest hit with the Wildcats averaging just 88.3 points per game and are ranked seventh in the league in 3-point shooting.
