The first two weeks of the 2026 NFL season have already given bettors some useful information about how teams intend to operate around the goal line. For anytime touchdown betting, that matters more than simply looking at who scored the previous week.
Red-zone opportunities, goal-line carries, target share and expected game script are generally more sustainable indicators of touchdown potential than recent results alone.
With that in mind, we have identified four players who stand out on the Week 3 slate, including one bigger-priced option offering genuine value and a small two-leg multi that features two short-priced favourites.
Check out our tips below & the reasoning behind each selection.
NFL Week 3 Anytime Touchdown Picks & Predictions
Detroit Lions vs New York Jets Anytime Touchdown Predictions - Jahmyr Gibbs
There aren't many surprises with our first selection, but Jahmyr Gibbs' price can be justified by just how heavily Detroit is using him in scoring territory.
Through two games, Gibbs has accumulated 45 rushing attempts for 208 yards and two rushing touchdowns, while adding another score through the air. More importantly for this market, he has already received 11 carries inside the opposition's 20-yard line, producing both of his rushing touchdowns from that area.
His receiving involvement gives this bet another route to cash. Gibbs has also caught a touchdown from inside the red zone, meaning Detroit doesn't necessarily have to hand him the football at the goal line for him to score.
The Lions host the Jets in Week 3 and Gibbs enters the matchup having accounted for three touchdowns through Detroit's opening two games. The combination of rushing volume, receiving involvement and red-zone work makes him one of the strongest anytime touchdown candidates on Sunday's slate.
Baltimore Ravens vs Dallas Cowboys Anytime Touchdown Predictions: Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry's early-season numbers are exactly what touchdown bettors want to see.
Henry has rushed 40 times for 212 yards and four touchdowns through two games, finding the end zone in both appearances. He scored three times against Indianapolis in Week 1 before adding another touchdown against New Orleans.
The underlying usage is arguably even more compelling.
Henry has handled 10 of Baltimore's 11 red-zone rushing attempts, giving him approximately 91% of the Ravens' rushing workload in the red zone. He has also accounted for four of Baltimore's first seven offensive touchdowns.
That type of role dramatically reduces one of the biggest problems associated with anytime touchdown betting: competition for opportunities close to the goal line.
Dallas has also struggled to contain opposition running games through the opening fortnight, conceding 173.5 rushing yards per game, ranking 30th in the NFL entering Week 3.
Baltimore being favoured in the matchup also creates a favourable potential game state. If the Ravens establish a lead, Henry should remain heavily involved, particularly as Baltimore moves inside the Dallas 20.
There will always be the threat of Lamar Jackson keeping the football around the goal line, but the numbers indicate that Henry remains Baltimore's overwhelming first option when the Ravens choose to run in scoring territory.
Las Vegas Raiders vs New Orleans Saints Anytime Touchdown Predictions - Ashton Jeanty
Ashton Jeanty's rushing touchdown column remains empty through two games, but his underlying numbers suggest that shouldn't necessarily discourage bettors.
The Raiders have already handed Jeanty 44 carries, representing two-thirds of their total rushing attempts. He's also received nine red-zone carries, accounting for approximately 82% of Las Vegas' red-zone rushing attempts.
Four of those carries have come from inside the five-yard line.
That is exactly the type of opportunity we want when targeting an anytime touchdown scorer.
Interestingly, Jeanty has still scored twice this season — both touchdowns coming as a receiver against Miami in Week 1. He therefore enters Week 3 with 247 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns from 54 combined carries and receptions.
New Orleans presents an appealing matchup for a running back receiving this type of workload. The Saints have allowed 136.5 rushing yards per game through two weeks and have conceded three rushing touchdowns.
Las Vegas has also run the football on more than half of its offensive plays this season, while Jeanty received 21 and 23 carries respectively in his opening two games.
Rather than viewing his lack of a rushing touchdown as a negative, we'd rather concentrate on the process. A running back consistently receiving 20-plus carries and more than 80% of his team's red-zone rushing work should continue generating opportunities to score.
Arizona Cardinals vs San Francisco 49ers Anytime Touchdown Predictions - Trey McBride
Trey McBride is our value selection for Week 3.
McBride enters Sunday's NFC West matchup at around the $2.90 mark in the anytime touchdown market, a significantly bigger price than our running-back selections.
There is enough underlying evidence to suggest that price is worth considering.
McBride has commanded an enormous role in Arizona's passing attack through two games, receiving 23 targets from 65 team passing attempts — a 35.4% target share. He's converted those opportunities into 17 receptions for 136 yards and has scored in both games.
His involvement becomes even more pronounced when Arizona approaches the end zone.
McBride has received six red-zone targets, representing two-thirds of Arizona's nine red-zone passing attempts. Four of those targets have come from inside the 10-yard line.
In other words, this isn't simply a bet on McBride extending a two-game touchdown streak. The bet is supported by the opportunities generating those touchdowns.
The obvious concern is San Francisco's defence. The 49ers have surrendered only one passing touchdown through two games, so this is certainly a tougher matchup than those facing Gibbs, Henry or Jeanty.
That's also why we're getting the bigger price.
Arizona's passing game has been extremely concentrated around McBride, and even during a poor offensive performance against Seattle in Week 2, he still caught eight passes and scored the Cardinals' only touchdown.
With approximately 35% of Arizona's total targets and 67% of its red-zone passing targets, McBride doesn't need the Cardinals to produce a huge offensive performance. He simply needs Arizona to create a small number of legitimate scoring opportunities.
At close to $3.00, that's enough for us to make him the value play of our Week 3 anytime touchdown selections.
