The Brisbane Bullets are set to extend their winning streak against the New Zealand Breakers in Round 6 of the NBL26. Despite a turbulent start, Brisbane has shown promising performances recently, particularly from key players Casey Prather and Tyrell Harrison. Prather is projected to score 25+ points while Harrison is expected to achieve double-doubles consistently. In contrast, the Breakers are struggling with inconsistency and a lack of depth, which could hinder their chances. Expert analysis suggests backing the Bullets for continued success in New Zealand.

It was turmoil in Brisbane last week but two good performances and a 1-1 record over last weekend has shined some light on the Bullets season. The form of Casey Prather and Kiwi Tyrell Harrison has to be some of the best in the league at the moment, with the pair leading a resurgence in Brisbane after a tough start.

The Breakers also went 1-1 in Round 5, however, I don’t have the same confidence that they are moving forward like I do with the Bullets. There is no consistency individually and the team is suffering from that and the Breakers lack of depth is often hurting them.

I am backing Prather and Harrison to continue putting in stand-out performances and lead the Bullets to their fifth consecutive win against the Breakers and their third straight in New Zealand.

Prather will drop 25+ and we will see another double-double from Harrison, scoring 15+ and 10+ rebounds.

  • Brisbane have won the last 4 matches against New Zealand
  • Brisbane have covered as the underdog against the Breakers in their last 2 games played in New Zealand.
  • Tyrell Harrison had in the first meeting of the season against the Breakers.
  • Casey Prather is averaging 29.33 points in his last 3 games for the Bullets.

New Zealand Breakers Form & Team News

I am going to be honest, I’m not quite sure what New Zealand is at the moment. Are they finding their feet after their 0-4 start, going 2-2 in their last 4 or have their opponents beat themselves.

The Breakers looked good playing fast against the JackJumpers in their opening game of Round 5, taking 25 more shots than the JackJumpers in their 82-65 win. However, the Breakers shot 2-26 from 3 and were lucky Tassie couldn’t buy a bucket for long stretches in that one. Game two of the weekend against United was poor down by 18 at the half. The bench was poor, scoring just 16 points in the match and the battle under the rim was dominated by United, who won the rebound count 41-34.

The positive out of Round 5 was a more consistent game from Izaiah Brockington who dropped 17 against the JackJumpers and 25 against United, giving support on the scoreboard to Parker Jackson-Cartwright and Sam Mennenga.

Brisbane Bullets Form & Team News

Things looked very different for Brisbane in Round 5 after it felt like their whole world was crashing around them after 1 win in their first 5 games of NBL26. They still went 1-1 on the weekend, but it was a different Bullets, they powered past the Wildcats in Perth 110-93 and besides a poor first quarter against Melbourne at home, they put up a decent fight against an unbeaten United.

The start of the Bullets season hasn’t been pretty, with injuries and departures but after last weekend, they can put all that behind them and work with what they have and focus on being better as a group.

Casey Prather is a force, scoring 26 points or more in his last 3 games, ranked second behind Cotton with an average of 25.5 points per game, while also doing his part with 6 boards per game. Tyrell Harrison has also been huge with 3 double-doubles this season boasting career-best averages of 17 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists.
