Brisbane Bullets vs Perth Wildcats NBL27 Expert Tips

The Brisbane Bullets are tipped to win the first quarter against the Perth Wildcats at Nissan Arena on Wednesday night, with Taine Murray also backed to make 3+ three-pointers and 4+ threes at a bigger price.

Brisbane return home following an impressive 96-89 upset victory over Adelaide, their third win in five games. Perth, meanwhile, have lost three of their last four, including a shock 105-98 home defeat to bottom-placed Illawarra on Saturday.

The Wildcats have been particularly slow out of the blocks, losing the opening quarter in five consecutive games. Brisbane have won three of their last five first quarters, converting each of those strong starts into victories.

Taine Murray 3+ threes is our preferred player prop, with 4+ worth considering at longer odds. Murray has made four and five triples in his last two appearances, attempting 12 and 10 shots from beyond the arc respectively. With Max Mackinnon sidelined through concussion, Murray has enjoyed increased opportunities, while Perth rank seventh for opponent three-point percentage.

Perth are also making just their second road appearance of the season before returning home to face Cairns on Sunday, their first road game was a loss at Sydney.

Back Brisbane to win the first quarter against a slow-starting Perth side, with Taine Murray 3+ threes and 4+ threes also tipped following his increased offensive involvement.

Key Stats

  • Perth have lost the first quarter in five consecutive games.
  • Brisbane have won three of their last five opening quarters.

Brisbane Bullets vs Perth Wildcats Head to Head

Perth dominate the all-time series with 70 wins from 114 meetings and have won five of the last six encounters. The Wildcats won both meetings in February, including a 94-75 home victory, while Brisbane's most recent win came in December 2025.

Brisbane Bullets Form

Brisbane improved to 5-5 with a 96-89 victory over Adelaide on Sunday, producing one of their strongest performances of the season against the 36ers.

The Bullets shot an impressive 13-of-37 from three-point range, compared to Adelaide's 6-of-32. Tyrell Harrison led Brisbane with 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Nate Hinton contributed 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Brisbane have now won three of their last five games, including victories over South East Melbourne and Illawarra. Their rebounding remains a major strength, leading the NBL with 47.2 boards per game.

Perth Wildcats Form

Perth's season has taken a disappointing turn, with the Wildcats dropping to 5-4 following consecutive home defeats against Sydney and Illawarra.

Saturday's 105-98 loss to the Hawks was particularly concerning, with Perth unable to contain an Illawarra side that entered the contest bottom of the ladder. The Hawks shot 13-of-30 from beyond the arc and dominated the offensive glass 16-11.

Dylan Windler led Perth with 19 points and nine rebounds, but another slow start left the Wildcats chasing the game after losing the opening quarter 24-19.

Perth have now lost three of their last four games and face a difficult trip to Brisbane before returning to RAC Arena on Sunday.

Verdict

Back Brisbane to win the first quarter against a slow-starting Perth side, with Taine Murray 3+ threes and 4+ threes also tipped following his increased offensive involvement.
