The Adelaide 36ers face off against the Perth Wildcats in a closely contested NBL25 Round 14 clash. Both teams are tied in the series, with each game being won by the away team. Perth's impressive track record at Adelaide's venue, combined with their strong away form of 7-3, gives them an edge. Despite Adelaide's top standing and strong offensive performances, it's predicted Perth will cover the spread and the game total will go over, considering both teams’ scoring trends. Nick Rakocevic's standout performance and Kristian Doolittle’s form boost each team's chances.

Adelaide 36ers vs Perth Wildcats NBL25 Round 14 Expert Tips

The league’s hottest rivalry of Adelaide vs Perth, or more so Cotton vs Perth, will light the screens on Saturday night in the third edition of this series in NBL26 with the series locked 1-1 with the advantage going to the away team on both occasions.

It isn’t just this season that Perth have taken victory in the south, winning their last 4 at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Backing against Adelaide is a big call as they sit very healthily at the top of the table, but getting a 4.5-point start is a good buffer considering how this clash has played out this season.

With so much to prove and so much emotion in this matchup a game total of 176 points is pretty low in my opinion, also considering the strong trends that point to a shootout.

I feel comfortable backing the over and the Wildcats to cover considering how strong Perth are away from home this season.

  • Perth has won the last 4 games in Adelaide against the 36ers.
  • Perth have a 7-3 record away from home this season.
  • The last 6 matches between Adelaide and Perth have gone over the game total.
  • Adelaide has scored 90+ points in their last 5 home matches.

Adelaide 36ers Form & Team News

The 36ers continue to stake their claim as the team to beat in NBL26, dismantling the Cairns Taipans 93-73 in their Ignite Cup clash on Christmas Eve. It was another routine performance for the league leaders, controlling the game from the get-go, notching up four quarter wins which moved them to second on the Ignite ladder behind the Breakers.

The biggest take from the match was the strong bench performance from Nick Rakocevic (19 points 13 rebounds) in 22:32 minutes on the court. The versatile power forward relished the opportunity for extra minutes and showed that Mike Wells has a powerful big rotation that will be needed come playoff time.

The win propelled Adelaide three wins clear of South East Melbourne on the NBL ladder with a 16-4 record.

Perth Wildcats Form & Team News

Perth continued their strong road form with a 94-85 victory over the JackJumpers last Sunday, putting the gas down in the third quarter and pushing a pace that Tasmania couldn’t keep.

The return to form of Kristian Doolittle was everything for the Wildcats, with their inspirational power forward proving unguardable again with 30 points and 6 rebounds. Doolittle hit 3 from 5 from three as the whole Perth team shot at 42.9% from the perimeter, executing the perfect offensive strategy against the JackJumpers.

John Rillie needs to get some consistency through the holiday season from his men who have been yo-yoing with 3 wins and 4 losses over the last month.
